vasFMC A320 A/THR N1 PARAMS & A/THR SPD PARAMS
Good day all, I am hoping one of the PA development team members, or anyone else with the know-how, will help me understand the settings of the auto throttle N1 parameters and speed parameters in the settings of the FMGC in the MCDU menu of vasFMC. In particular, what do the symbols "~1/P"...

World Magnetic Model Coefficients
Is it not time to update the 2005 WMM.COF data of vasFMC to the 2010 version? I have tried, without success, to 'massage' the 2010 data to resemble that in the WMM2005.COF file. Although the columns and spacing look identical (apart from the new data) and the vasFMC.cfg file was changed to use the W...

Re: A380 Cabin Model for FS9
Thank you esg. I am sorry to say that I do not know how to make the cabin view work with the A380 virtual cockpit of FS9. I am able to pan with my joystick pan button around the entire virtual cockpit, but where I would expect to see the cabin view, only the jumpseat and backrests of the pilot's sea...

A380 Cabin Model for FS9
Hi ESG,
Where can I download the A380 cabin model for FS9 please. It does not appear to be available from AVSIM any longer. Thank you.
Regards,
Quentin

Mapping Passenger Signs to A380 Overhead
Good day, I have been trying to map Ken Mitchell's seat belts and no smoking switches to the A380 overhead, but I cannot establish the X and Y co-ordinates for any of the positions under Signs on the panel. I thought that I could perhaps position the switches in the two black rectangles under Signs....

Re: Idle Thrust : a320-project-airbus.cfg
Thanks for this suggestion. Having looked at the station loads in the config file, I find that there is little resemblance to Microsoft's definitions - no pilot, co-pilot, crew, etc. This is true for both the PA 214 and 232 models. I am wary about tampering with the figures and possibly disturbing t...

Re: Idle Thrust : a320-project-airbus.cfg
I also thought this was the case until I zeroed the figure and still found the aircraft moving forward with the throttles fully idle. I have a perception that the idle thrust setting somehow influences the N1% at climb and cruise power rather than at idle. My next question is what does the idle thru...

Can anyone tell me what the idle thrust setting in the config file does? Many thanks.

Re: vasfmc_panel_a320 & uecam N2 & EGT overlap
The more I use the vasfmc_panel_a320, the more I am convinced that the upper ecam is "not well". It is the only gauge in the vasfmc 'stable' which is a little less than perfect. Its counterpart in the A380 virtual cockpit renders and performs perfectly. The a320 upper ecam has the followin...

Re: vasfmc_panel_a320 & uecam N2 & EGT overlap
I was experimenting with my monitor settings a while ago and the overlapping problem persists on all the possible aspect ratios, i.e., 16:9, 4:3 and 5:4, so it doesn't appear to be a FS2004 problem. It might be very helpful to ask whoever made the gauge what the possible causes could be. I estimate ...

Sound Files for VASFMC_panel_A320
I cannot find the ab340km sound files listed in the ab320km_sound.ini file of the vasfmc_panel_A320. Are these sound files part of the A320 basepack download, or are they a separate download and where does one find them?

Re: vasfmc_panel_a320 & uecam N2 & EGT overlap
Thank you Chris for your efforts. Much appreciated. It is a real puzzle that every gauge other than the upper ecam draws perfectly. I will live with the situation, but it would be interesting to have the gauge designer's views.

vasfmc_panel_a320 & uecam N2 & EGT overlap
I am using the vasfmc_panel_a320 with the Project Airbus A320 at a screen resolution of 2560X1440. The aircraft and all gauges other than the upper ECAM display with excellent clarity. Because the upper ECAM is designed for a screen resolution of 1600X1200, this ecam shows the N2% and EGT virtually ...

WMM2005.COF FILE OUTDATED
The above file in the vasfmc setup is outdated. I managed to find a WMM2010.COF file on the web and tried a direct replacement of the 2005 file in the vasfmc folder, but it doesn't work. With the WMM2010.COF file, as soon as you try to select the departure runway in pre-flight procedures, it causes ...

Re: Engines & fuel Selectors at Startup
Good day, What settings are necessary to stop the engines from running and have the fuel selectors off when the A380 is loaded into the simulator? The aircraft reverts to cold dark cockpit status after loading, but the fuel selectors remain on along with the engine sound . Also, I have set the airbu...

[A380,VC] pax sign switches
Good day, This is an absolutely fantastic piece of work! It's a pleasure to fly and one doesn't miss the 2D panels after some practice in the virtual cockpit. I'm not sure whether the real-life A380 has automated passenger signs, or whether these are managed by the cabin management, but I was surpri...
