Re: The A330 and A340

I understand François is doing the FSX gauges. Will there be a FS9 panel, just like the PA gauges used for the A380? The PA A380 FBW is brilliant and very reliable

Re: Mouse wheel as throttle

Sorry again for necroing, but yesterday I've found another solution. For this, you'll need the following: - vJoy (the one from Shaul, not Headsoft): available at http://vjoystick.sourceforge.net/site/ - FreePIE: available at http://andersmalmgren.github.io/FreePIE/. Download the MSI. - A registered ...

Re: A380VC, unable to see all but MCDU gauges

OK, activating the dummy panel (Views>Instrument panel>dummy, or Ctrl+1) solves the issue, but then I'm left with the dreaded fuel bug. I tried then a flight with an A340 (using vasFMC panel), no issue at all. Strange...

Re: A380VC, unable to see all but MCDU gauges

Update: I've tried reinstalling vasFMC. With the original 2.1 version gauge file, I can see the PFD, ND and ECAM, but then I'm getting the crash when entering block fuel in the MCDU. With the updated gauge file, 2D popups work OK, I don't get any crashes using the MCDU, but the VC does not show anyt...

Re: A380VC, unable to see all but MCDU gauges

Anyone? I've installed and uninstalled vasFMC, and reinstalled FSUIPC (after the "unable to load" issues),but still no progress :(

A380VC, unable to see all but MCDU gauges

This is what I get after installing the A380 with VAS gauges: http://i68.tinypic.com/110g29t.jpg The MCDU and GPS work, but all other gauges (PFD, ND, ECAM) can't be seen. Popups work OK (but wouldn't make sense with a VC). PA panel is not affected. I've reinstalled twice, no success. I can't recall...

Re: A380 - vasFMC freezes when entering fuel (Win7, 64bit, F

See this thread: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/352192-vasfmc-21-fuel-bug/ Posts 11 and further. In summary, do not leave two waypoints too close, this may bee too much for vasFMC to calculate. I haven't tried with anything closer than 10 NM since being told about this workaround. Hope this helps. Bes...

Re: A380 vasFMC loss of PFD and ECAM and other questions

Well, I reinstalled and deleted log files. I'm not getting CTDs anymore, but I still get all my instruments frozen. How could I calculate V1/Vr/V2/Vref? EDIT: As soon as I started replying, I reloaded FS9. I didn´t reload the route, I just loaded the correct aircraft and fuel weights. All worked cor...

Re: A380 vasFMC loss of PFD and ECAM and other questions

777beats340, thank you very much. Actually, I was aware of this issue and thus I calculated my fuel load outside of vasFMC (fuel.aerotexas.com was my friend until they updated and removed calulations in kg). What I didn't expect is to get a CTD when entering the results of these calculations to the ...

Re: A380 vasFMC loss of PFD and ECAM and other questions

Weights and fuel are managed from the Aircraft->Fuel and Payload menu What do you mean with this? That I should set up fuel and payload using the FS9 default load manager? Done, but still I get the CTD when pressing BLOCK. How can I prevent this, and still get the MCDU recommended V-speeds and crui...

Re: A380 vasFMC loss of PFD and ECAM and other questions

Download the cockpit manual from our downloads section. It has basic instructions regarding VAS gauges. Sorry if I sound n00b, but I can't find it in the Downloads section. Re. the fuel block: it's a known issue. Workaround is to punch in the fuel before starting the engines, iirc. Since I usually ...

A380 vasFMC loss of PFD and ECAM and other questions

Yesterday I flew for the first time the PA A380. I liked this model a lot. If not for the throttle not going lower than 55%, the flight would have gone flawlessly :) However, the second time has been a bug show: - First, I've been getting problems when entering the fuel block. Yesterday it worked fl...

Re: Mouse wheel as throttle

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread, but this may work: Keyboard Throttle Solution (for the Aerosoft Airbus X) http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/42579-keyboard-throttle-solution/ This would work in FSX, but I'm not sure if it works with FS9. Well, it should: I see nothing requiring Simconn...

What do you mean? There would be more systems simulated? (I've not flown the A380, so I have no reference other than the default vasFMC A32x panels).
