I had some problems as well. The takeoff seems alright (roll distance wise) but climbing to cruise altitude was not fun. I was going to go to FL350, but realized I wouldnt make it. Decided to just go to FL300. Above about 25'000 you cant climb at more than about 200ft/min. Even than you lose airspee...

You need to copy the textures from the texture folder to each of the livery folders.

I had that problem at first but than I realized what was wrong.

Have you properly aliased the paints in the aircraft.cfg? Id go through there- if you havent already- just to make sure the name of the texture folders matches the line in the CFG. As well make sure the 2 paints are numbered [fltsim.0] and [fltsim.1], given the fact that those are the only 2 paints ...

I've been waiting for a good 321 to come out for ages. The IFDG model is not my cup of tea, so to speak. This will be better than some of the Payware ones . I'm on the lookout for this release. Finally will complete the PA 320 family.
