Re: Project FMC simplified for Project Airbus
Hi, normally I have flights between 1 and 2-3 hours of simulated flight (using 4x acceleration once at cruise level). So I like fly above FL300. I have a question about RNAV landing. I put RNAV 22R for Nice's airport. FMC displayed -3°, fine. But the A/P was keeping me at 1250ft until the last wpy.....

Bosim, just press ILS button to visualize ILS glideslope on PFD. Then APR button as you are close to intercept ILS path.

I really like the new ECAM! I could suggest put ICE...NOT DET in green instead of pitot heat...check. In case of risk it could change in ICE... DET in orange and the regular Pitot alert in the system display It seems that ice not detected appears also in real ecam memo http://www.a3xxflightdeck.com/...

Thanks, yes everything is fine to me in my XML.
So maybe FSX simulates a sort of Pitot damage by ice accumulation? Or maybe it's a bug as in default A321 it doesn't happen.. or not so much regularly.

Francois, I found that when deicing doesn't work.. is because FSX put a tick in Failures -> Pitot tube (failed)!! The weird stuff is that removing that tick and exiting from Failures window nothing happens because if I came back to Failures window, the tick is still there!

I found that at idle, the aircraft starts moving after a while. I don't know if this happens also on a real airbus, or idle position shouldn't give any thrust to the airplane that should stay still by inertia.
