Re: Aerodesigns Airbus A318 VC gauges
Well like I said, the panel is supposed to be included with the A318 base pack. Make sure you downloaded the A318 base pack off avsim (file is ad318_base.zip), as other downloads may be incomplete or missing the panel altogether. EDIT: Just noticed it's no longer available on avsim due to the server...

Re: Aerodesigns Airbus A318 VC gauges
The Aerodesigns 318 was made for use with Eric Marciano's old A320 panel gauges. The official base pack installers included them if I recall correctly, so I'm not sure why you weren't seeing anything in the vc.
But nice work on your merge, it looks good!

There are camera addons that used to simulate this. ActiveCamera was one for FS2004 way back when, don't know if it still exists today. There are probably others too.

Re: A380 Support - Models & FDE Issues
I've read Derek's flying tutorial for the A380. I wanted to ask why you list the range with max payload at 6,500 when YSSY-KLAX exceeds this number? Surely that flight is frequently full. According to Airbus' numbers, 8,200nm is the range with max pax. YSSY-KLAX is not 8,200nm, so with max pax, it'...

The outboard gear has no contact points in the aircraft.cfg. If you only need approximate coordinates for effects, try these:
Code: Select all
Left inboard: -3.00, -8.70, -19.33
Right inboard: -3.00, 8.70, -19.33
Left outboard: 8.00, -20.30, -19.33
Right outboard: 8.00, 20.30, -19.33

Re: A380 Support - Models & FDE Issues
Yeah it's caused by the wingflex. The flex cuts were made early on and aren't placed very well, causing alignment issues ever since I ramped up the flex amount. I did my best to compensate for them but it isn't perfect. This is also the cause of the bleedthrough in certain areas. With more work I'm ...

[Off topic a little bit, the PA A380's fuel config is a little bit different from what I read from smartcockpit, what do you think?] Our fuel sections have the feed tanks merged into the main tanks for simplicity. You should be able to paste the Wilco fuel sections without causing too many problems.

Pretty sure this is an FSX-only bug, but will check later. Though I know FSX has issues with everything transparency related. The A320 series also had related issues (i.e. the antenna holes bug). Quite right. Auto-trim (and other Fly-by-wire features) need to be coded in the panel's gauges. We haven't included a panel in our release, and therefore haven't modeled any fly-by-wire simulation.

Unfortunately, none of those issues are likely to be fixed soon. The wing bleed is pretty minor, and only visible from specific angles.
