Personally I think it's looking great so far PA. I like the attention to the details.

As a side note, LH's first A380 should be painted up by the middle of February if all goes according to plan.

I wonder if Lufthansa will keep the engines in the white color? It does look clean. Or will they keep the traditional grey as in the photo?
Nice paintjob so far. The paintshop still needs many hundreds (thousands?) of litres of paint to finish it.
It is nice to know that the bare material is still composite for big weight saving. I guess that the next real-world A380 will be for Iberia of Spain with the Spanish being also being a major player in the EADS/Airbus concern, and considering that Air France has one already flying.

well it's been updated heavily since this shot was taken.. the engines get their love today.. in time for the next flight WSSS-YSSY

They all look great. Personally, I'd like a Korean Air please. I know their first hasn't been painted yet, much less convoyed, but this A380 is a beauty that I hope is painted by one of you guys in the future.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone have a rough idea on what the final download size will be?

I don't mean to nitpick, but the nav lights in the EK/SQ paint screenshots look a little strange. I know the model is still WIP, but I hope the nav lights will look a little more authentic. For example, the gorgeous image on the PA homepage has the type of nav lights that I'd love to see. Small and non-globule like make them look a lot more realistic.

Other than that small quirk, the model as a whole is still looking beautiful. Can't wait for it!

Our nav lights are hardcoded for the wingflex, and therefore use the FS default light texture. We therefore have no real control over how they will look. However, you can download texture updates on sites like avsim to make the default lights look better. The specific texture that you should be looking to update is called halo.bmp and is located in the main FS texture folder I believe. There are quite a few replacement ones available out there.

I don't see why it wouldn't be.

Your paints looked great on the Overland bird and they do on this one. Looking forward to this latest PA release, it's gonna be eye-candy.

shes starting to be quite a common sight , at least in Heathrow, where I always pass by QANTAS, EMIRATES, SINGAPORE;...shes lovely, you cant stop feeling a chill when you pass close to this beast

I made the near fatal error in drowning again in my own pool of saliva by looking at Tom's pics and all I can say is zomg this is going to blow the Overland model out of the water and shatter it into millions of pieces.

Although I am perfectly aware that the A380 is still a WIP despite a seemingly imminent release and I know I'm sounding a little nitpicky on this, but I hope the texture department crossed their t's and dotted their i's by plugging up some of the windows.

i know we said no screenshots.. but i had time to do some testing today.. so anyways.. here's DT's base with Tom's EK tail, flying out of FRA
