The A330 and A340
Re: The A330 and A340
Will be a merge with Wilco's A330&A340 possible?
Re: The A330 and A340
Probably, but no one's tried it.
Re: The A330 and A340
Looks fantastic!
Any information on a DLH or AB livery?
.. oh and: Every time you kill a kitten I kill a puppy.

Re: The A330 and A340
Just wondering, are those here to stay or will they get fixed / 3D-ish.
Re: The A330 and A340
No, they're not gonna stay like that. lol
Re: The A330 and A340
at least a good 330 for fs....I was waiting for it for a long time....but I hate Kittens, WHEN???

Why the HELL would you want to merge Wilco's unrealistic, ugly, worthless, waste of my money cockpit with PA's A330?emshomar wrote:Will be a merge with Wilco's A330&A340 possible?

Re: The A330 and A340
He probably meant to merge the Wilco systems like the panel and FMC to work with the PA 330. I do not think it is possible to merge something from another model into a different model. Like how I fly with the A320's... Wilco is not that terrible, I do not fly their model, but their systems are the only aspect that is more than decent. All have tried but had holes in their Airbus systems: PSS was OK, it had a lot of stuff missing, Overland was all simple, Airsimmer failed, Aerosoft maybe will go all the way...Like I said, not a lot have tried to do Airbus FBW systems, the majority of FS9/FSX add-on aircraft are all Boeing. Not a lot of options to choose from but at least we have something. Have not tried vasfmc yet.Joel wrote:Why the HELL would you want to merge Wilco's unrealistic, ugly, worthless, waste of my money cockpit with PA's A330?emshomar wrote:Will be a merge with Wilco's A330&A340 possible?
Re: The A330 and A340
Airbus X is as realistic as you can get on FSX right now. (Airbus Wise)
It has a 96.999999999999999% accurate VC model and a 80.5555% outside model. (Had to change stats for esg)
FMC is alright, not real (fonts for FCU etc.) but O.K. for a Simulator. FBW and TCAS both work perfectly on the Airbus X ONLY if you use Windows Vista. I have no idea why but on 7 and XP the FBW reacts too quickly and bugs out over certain regions. If you are using a Left hand Joystick then flying the A320/A321 until you activate the AP/2 or when you land feels fine. - If you've been in an A320 cockpit while it was landing you will probably notice some unrealistic physics under 400Ft. (I've heard with V2.0 Aerosoft corrected these mistakes.)
Wilco's A330 and A320 are unrealistic, useless and a complete joke. I don't even know where to start. Cockpits look nothing like RL. Engines don't sound, start, react the way they do in RL. AP is more buggy then Windows Vista's Beta Test. FMC doesn't even come close to real life (on 330) and the way they designed the interior is a joke. Plus they just copy and pasted around 66% of the physics used on their A320 into the A330/A340 program. (And guess what? It feels different flying an A330 and an A320.) I'm not even going to start and talk about the A340-600.
Others:
No RAAS
TCAS doesn't work right
Strobe completely bugged
Eyepoints positioned wrong
etc. etc. etc.
Really don't know about Overland and I'm probably not going to waste my money on it.
As far as FSX goes, I'm staying with Airbus X, PA's A380, PO's 777 and hopefully soon my dream aircraft PA's A330.

As much as we all like to blow off steam from time to time, I'm not sure this is quite the right place for it.
Re: The A330 and A340
About 13% on my post. Had to research this crap for a post on Aerosoft a while ago. Point is: Wilco NEY. Project Airbus YAY.esg wrote:77.43% of all statistics are made up on the spot. -- Homer SimpsonJoel wrote: It has a 96% accurate VC model and a 100% outside model.

Never trust a statistics you did not forge yourself!
Re: The A330 and A340
Like I said, I do not fly the Wilco model, once I tried to; NEVER again! I use the panel with the PA 320 family and custom sounds. FSX has Aerosoft for their FBW Airbus model, we FS9 users do not have much at all for realistic FBW. May I remind you of the Airsimmer model... :?Joel wrote:About 13% on my post. Yeah I just came across Airsimmer. I'm actually considering buying it. Looks impressive and reviews say it's pretty damn good.

(And yes an Update on the development would be nice.)

This discussion has nothing to do with our A330/A340. Please take it over to the General forum.

Any new news about the A330/A340 project?
Re: The A330 and A340
It is being worked on. When we're ready to announce something, you'll know!
Re: The A330 and A340
I have the airsimmer a320, I can just say it's a way better than wilco! Yes it's very buggy etc. But in way much better then wilco! I'm not a pilot and don't realy know how the FBW handless but I think it's realistc enough.

Re: The A330 and A340
Looks good. Though it could be the angle of the shot, but isn't the hinge gap on the vstab looking a bit wide? I think it just might be looking a bit flat n wide.Nixpilot wrote:a lil teaser
But those hstab trim plate texture details are truly exquisite ! nice work
Re: The A330 and A340
Nah, the gap is right, it just hasn't been painted.Tranceaddict wrote:

Re: The A330 and A340
I think he's talking about the gap between the rudder and the bit that's sticking out underneath it. It does look a tiny bit odd from that angle.

wooo hooo,, looking forward to fly this plane... love it..
Anyway, is there any chance that PA team, also create the ground light effects from beacon or strobe light for the next release?
cheers

Re: The A330 and A340
Just wondering, will the FBW gauge be installed in the final product?
Re: The A330 and A340
That remains to be seen. Have you tried it?
Re: The A330 and A340
Not yet, working on a new Airbus X cockpit and merging the FBW and my own FMC with the PA's A380.esg wrote:That remains to be seen. Have you tried it?

Great previews so far and that steak is making me hungry too!
Look forward to the release of these models when they're ready! Keep up the great work PA team!

Re: The A330 and A340
That means if the FBW works well and all issues are "blown away" it will be include in the A330/A340?esg wrote:That remains to be seen.
That makes me think about if the FBW will be made also for FS9 or if the A330/A340 will be made for FSX. Both things would be great.
Never mind, I have FS9 and FSX on my pc running, so.
Just enjoying the good old A320 V2.1 (which works very well with FSX)
Re: The A330 and A340
The Fbw gauge interfaces with SimConnect, so no, it won't be made for FS9.

Re: The A330 and A340
Will the paintkit be in any similar format to that of the A32X family or A380? I'm just curious.
My desire for a Hawaiian A332 grows stronger by the day with daydreaming becoming more and more frequent.

You have to admit the Hawaiian livery is probably the most beautiful livery any airline has / had.DerKranich wrote:Will the paintkit be in any similar format to that of the A32X family or A380? I'm just curious.

similar layout. The paintkit for the POSKY A330/A340 drove us all bat crazy, so having a much simpler one to follow will be greatly appreciated by us painters.esg wrote:What do you mean in a similar format?
