It's laid out a lot like the POSKY 777.

There'll be any aircraft systems modeled? I mean, are you planning on making a hardsimmer plane? I know you usually don't...even if the models are perfect anyway!

We aspired to do modular gauges that'd implement the various Airbus systems a while back, but there's many roadblocks (the biggest one being the time we've got available/the time we're willing to invest).

I can easily understand, since you're a freeware group! With the lack of accurate payware Airbuses, contrary to Boeings, PA is a hope! Anyway, try to make it beautiful (A330/340 are actually, IMO, the most beautiful aircraft around nowaday). Especially the VC, with the new LCD-screens :D! Not the ugly old ones (cathodic I think...)!

I think bus systems are the hardest to model, but I think pairbus team have got some great models, and I'm happy with that!
Currently actually flyin with the initial release a320 with Eric marcianos panel in fs2002. Can't wait for the a330 series for fs9

I'm not sure how hard is to integrate vasmfc gauges into cockpit, not having to use a standalone program. It's a pain in the ass to use vasfmc for people without 2 monitors.

There´s other version. Download and install "v2.1 Windows Flight Simulator gauge installer", them, it should appear a new folder in aircaft directory. Copy all the files that are in this folder, and paste it in your aircraft´s panel folder.

You should see an Airbus 2d panel, with FMC, overhead and more...

vasFMC's PFD and ND are awesome! They actually look like the real one 'IRL', very smooth! I tried to merge them into Wilco's panel, but the size doesn't fit...and it's ugly! What's sad about vasFMC panel, it's not realistic, apart from PFD, ND, FCU and FMC of course! Overhead is a mess!

Everything is still a WIP. Some switches are hidden, as none except the AFS ones are textured.
Daniel is making some nice textures for the VC, some of which are shown on the panel.
We're going for that "glittery" look the A330 panel has, which is a bit tricky to achieve together with that slight bumpiness of the panel surface. Any feedback is welcome.
There will be stuff to use in the VC, apart from the openable windows.

Stay tuned for more in the near future.

Regarding decorative animations, there will be a lot to mess with.
Regarding switches, all of the default FSX switches and anything extra we may come up with. I can't say more than that.

wow....this will be THE BEST Add-on of the year or longer upon its release XD
A couple of question though:
1. Will the aircraft consist of any complex sounds..such as the common (beep?) sound heard when a notification of any sort of failure is sent to the ECAMS or well when the engine fire switches are being checked. It would feel very realistic and detailed. More info: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t9ayhpwcqfk (skip to 0:48)
2. Also the side sticks appear to be quite small in size and I'm wondering if they will be enlarged or will remain the same.

Thanks!

The sticks will indeed be enlarged. If you or anyone else notice anything else, please let me know.

Hi,

the screenshots seem to represent the newer -X version Cockpit. I guess you will also design the old layout with the crt's and round edge screens.

Not very likely.

Why, yes, it is.

Also, the specular you see on the main panel in the first pic has been made to look less shitty.

Are dimmable displays supported in FSX by default? - Yes (default F-18 has them)
Will they be on the A330/A340? - Most likely not, but I'd like to hear your answer. :P

The A380 doesn't support adjustable dimming of the displays. They're either lit or unlit, at night.

@Goldleader: it means that I can't answer that question.

Generally, it is FPS friendly in FSX, as long as it's a native FSX model.

The exteriors rarely cause any FPS issues in FSX (unless they're FS9 .mdl files)
In the VC I'm getting a solid 60fps without most textures (limiter @60). It will definitely go down as things are added, but it will be FPS friendly with regards to the planned features.
