I think it goes without saying that this is not the year of the 330/340.

I am looking forward to an official list on what will be painted though.

Hi,
I hope you allow a question:
Is the A340-200 model yet built,or what is its current status?

Thanks

No idea if the model is frozen or not, but this should serve as an excellent reference for the winglets.

I've got a quick question about the texturing of the belly, I'm a bit curious about the Air Berlin livery of the A332 and they have the corporate name on their bellies. What I would like to ask is if it will be possible to paint the name on the repaint kit cause it's quite large and on the CLS A330 I'll get in troubles if I want to realise the correct shape:

Exsample: http://www.airliners.net/photo/Air-Berl ... 2331757/L/

Best regards, merry Christmas and thanks a lot Team Project Airbus! :)

I hope you all have been doing very well. The project looks outstanding right now! When it's time for the liveries, you should definitely make this Air India scheme for the A330-200! Keep up the great work you all are putting in. I'm far beyond impressed by how much detail has been put into these birds!

Hello,
I'm a fan of flight simulators and I have been following your A330 and A340 project for a long time now and I can't wait for its release.
Any idea when we are able to fly the project airbus A330 and A340?

Greetings from Holland!!

That's good to hear! ;)

Question: Are You going to include the wing light? Because airlines such as Etihad and Swiss are using it on take-off and landing.

I occasionally come onto this site and get a little excited seeing if anything new pops up regarding the 330/340 by recent activity from fellow posters only to then realize very quickly that it's people asking the same damn question.

I should probably look into using Twitter for any updates on this if at all possible. It would save me (and several others) a lot of grief.

Had a look at the pictures and really hope, this pretty bird will be released soon!!!!
On this youtube video someone stated, that this project has been canceled, hope not so!

The project is still progressing, albeit slowly. We're currently working on textures, but they take time and we're all busy people outside the hobby..

The liveries are the quick part.. it's completing the base work that's the longest part.

I can help with VC texture if needs. At the moment I change VC textures for overland Airbus A320 for myself ;) and can you send as examples of my work after long break.

We're not looking for handouts. If you're interested in development, then that's a different matter altogether.

Ruths freeware models I see, if you wanna brag about liveries I recommend you make new templates since his are outright atrocious: pixelated and smudgy with details that don't match up with either the model or the real life aircraft. Also your windows on the TAP a340 are way too big, plus most of them have their front frame white, but no white outline around the passenger windows.
Don't get me wrong I appreciate Ruths freeware, but it needs alot of work:

Question to the PAF developers: are your textures going to be "straight-forward"? By that I mean laid out like the plane looks with uniform scaling (posky 777 templates if you need a reference as to what I am asking)? I would love to know since Ruths textures are a PITA because they are different scales for each series of the a330/a340 and other models have this weird "flayed/unwrapped" texture map which I have a hard time working with. Thanks in advance if you answer :)

So it would apparently be something with the textures which, last I heard, is slowing you guys down. Glad to hear progress is being made on that.

ok guys it's been a while since there had been some public updates, here is the A340-200. Unfortunately there has been a bit of delay in providing updates but there are also other things in development which cannot be named at the moment.
Coupled with this the alternate CFM engine pylon textures are now completed, so no more painting for engine pylons (thank goodness for that!)
Another purpose of this preview is to show the smaller vertical tail root fairings

There are not too many passenger A340-200s still flying. This particular A340-200 (ZS-SLA) is cn008 so it was one of the oldest A340s. It first flew for Lufthansa and then South African, the aircraft has been retired and the fuselage has been preserved (minus other bits and pieces) in South Africa to be used as a cabin trainer.

Hi there, no new updates for the A330 other than what has been shown before, next update will be revised wing textures.. there's also the A330F variant which I'll look at after the wings

Ok. Glad to hear the project is progressing. And just one other question I had. I know you all are still working on the base textures but have you thought of a list of airline liveries that will be painted when it's time? Just curious.

Looks like my to-do list for the 330/340 paints has grown quite a bit.

Glad to see the A342 done as well. It's such a rarity that any paint on it would be cool to see.
