I just bought the Aerosoft Airbus X, and I must say, the level of realism and detail is astounding.
And I'm just wondering, how much like the Airbus X will the A330 be in terms of realism and operation? ... because the Airbus X, by far, is the most realistic Airbus on FSX

I care more about Cockpit and Systems realism and VC detail.
You know Abacus or Halycon? !!THE WORST PAYWARE EVER MADE!! I'm regretting that I bought the Airbus Family vol3 before you release your A380.
Now to my queston -> Are you looking for Beta tester for FS2004?

You can't beat the PMDG 737/747, Aerosoft A320 or Just Flights 767.

Is that a challenge?

Also, price/performance for PA is better...divide by 0

i dont get people who compare a freeware with a payware, like srsly mate?
PA for a freeware group has done a tremendous and outstanding job with the models and FDE so don't go comparing it to a payware ffs.

Couldn't agree more...Constructive criticism is the best thing--we don't have nearly as many resources or time as payware developers.

Now, let's get this back on track to the A330/A340!

Hi,
what 2D Cockpit do you PA guys use personally? Is it one with the VASFMC? Or do you not fly with 2D cockpits at all in FS9?

This is also an interesting question concerning all of your other aircrafts. As for me, I use a merger with the old PSS cockpits (for your A32X and the POSKY A330/340 so far). As the PSS panels are easy to merge, I will use them with your upcoming A330/340.
Do you recommend any other third party panels, that have a certain degree of system-depth?

PS: all the payware Airbus-models that I've seen so far suck! PA's buses are the best stuff by far for FS9!

Cheers

. +1 w/ EDDM, really wanna know that!

. I wouldn't buy PA aircrafts if there were payware. Merely because they don't feature any complex systems, neither panels...Even if FDE are perfect...But as a freeware of course! But it doesn't mean in any way the payware one is better than the freeware one, or the contrary...

Project Airbus makes awesome models. Far better than other payware groups. They also can make complex systems but then we have to pay. The complex systems are actually the thing we are paying for, because it takes a lot of time and studying for the group.

I'm happy with Project Airbus models especially with the upcoming A330 and A340.

But I didn't understand why you wouldn't by PA's models if they are payware. Some people are buying the Abacus or some awful airplanes but you won't buy a high detail aircraft? ( but
please don't take it too seriously ;) )

You know what I mean?

I don't know how you've come to that conclusion.
The complex systems are actually the thing we are paying for, because it takes a lot of time and studying for the group.
The visuals take a lot of time and study as well.

The reason we don't do systems is that we've got no one in the group that's devoted to it. It's not because one or the other takes more time, or that one or the other is more difficult; it's coincidence.

The reason people are not willing to pay for just the model is that without the systems, it's a bit like a lacquered turd[1,2].

[1] You can't polish a turd.

[2] Whereas if it's Abacus, it's pure shit.

That's what draws the limit between freeware and payware (in general). Developers do have time to develop complex systems and models. That's what they do for a living. And that's why we pay for them! Freeware's developers do have a life, sometimes a family, and different obligations. As a consequence, it's difficult, barely impossible for them to develop those systems! But as I said, it doesn't mean they're not good at what they do. PA makes great models w/ amazing FDE. So is PMDG; except they add flight decks and systems. But it doesn't PMDG's better than PA, nor PA's better than PMDG.

Paywares don't always beat freewares.
Freeware don't always beat paywares. (pretty sure everything beats Abacus :D )
Everything is about obligation!

Time is a red herring. If someone wanted to create complex systems and give them away for free, they would've done it.

Also, you seem to think that the visuals are easier to make (and thus take less time). I'm not sure that's true.

Because I don't understand why we shouldn't pay for a fully realistic aircraft for FS9/FSX when others aren't able to make it half as good as you (PA) make it. It would be unfair to support a product with less with money and a high detailed one for nothing.
The complex systems are actually the thing we are paying for, because it takes a lot of time and studying for the group.
The visuals take a lot of time and study as well.
yes, i know that and respect your work. but this sentence was for complex system opinion only.

So for me it's amazing that a group makes a (for me is it) a high detailed aircraft. The A320 family, A380 and the upcoming A330/A340 in it's free time for nothing.

But it is good to have You. And I won't to get in trouble only about systems and other things.

I don't know. I take back everything. I didn't know what I wrote their. It's good to have Project Airbus as a freeware group.

Lol let's keep things cool yeah? What we do is our passion for airbus aircraft and till now, we have no intentions to go payware. I, for example, do not think that I'm fit for payware since I'm a noob at programming.

So chill and peace right? Screenies will be posted when due.

I dont post here often, but strolling through casually every now and then, I just want to say, I'm very impressed. You all do fine work and release it for the rest of us to enjoy and I am thrilled for the up and coming projects. Thanks again for your diligence, attention to detail and sharing screenshots of progress. Take care!

I dunno; I was all too happy to purchase the 'lacquered turd' under the name 50North ;) . As I recall, it was little more than a stunning visual model coupled with a very stable FDE. From my perspective, that's all I can ask for! (I might be part of a minority, but I'm one of 'those' simmers - you know, the ones that spend more time outside the aircraft than in lol). I can always find a decent (and easy) freeware panel and sounds to match, but for me, an accurate and detailed visual model as well as good flight dynamics are the two most important things I look for in a model. And I wouldn't mind paying for it. Granted, 50N's model came cheap, but it was at a cost.

Back on topic, great job so far on the A330/340s! I'm definitely looking forward to taking it for a few longhauls. Cheers!

I'm the same, i would happily pay in this case for a A330/A340 and just couple it up with the Wilco panel.

Yes, for PA models it's worth to pay. But another question: The wing lights aren't included right? Image
