I was extremely excited to hear that about the sharklets on my favourite FSX model!

I use Francois Dore's A320, and plan on continuing to use it. Would any of you know if there will be compatibility with the sharklet model as well?

Thanks!

Finally, sharklets or not does not mean the flaps have no metal-lining above it, thank you!
Plus for the ones who asked for the flaps to be all-grey (single-coloured, no-metal, etc), do spend at least ten minutes in photoshop and you'll have new wing and flap textures. ;)

Stunning! PA did a very good job in hiding this model update. Great work and thanks to the whole team.

I don't suppose there's a chance we'll be able to see one of these babies in the Mexican Interjet colors is there?

Hey PA team, don't know if any one mention it but, will PA upgrade the engine as well? like the new PW-1000 and the CFM International LEAP-X??? Is these any intention to do it? If so will it delay the release? If not is it and possability in the future? Any way L-O-V-E-D the present views, love shared guys good job, better then Just flight :P

I don't think so, they are focusing on the Sharklets project only and the A330 and A340 as well.

We won't say more than we have done until now.. Just wait and see :)

You will enjoy these as soon as we feel it's good to go!

Just to kick in my 2 cents here, I think the NEO will be put on hold until some accurate data is available to make an accurate model. May be the same ol' A320, but their are probably some different handling characteristics to it, and with the new engines, the fuel burns are different and other stuff. I would just wait on the NEO. And just bug them about the A320 Series Sharklets and the A330/A340 until they are released!(J/K)

But take your time guys and release another couple of gems! ;)

Hello everyone

Just after reading many of the posts on this forum about the amazing a320 family on project airbus, one of the most popular addons for fsx, I realised that many of you aren't quite happy about the wing textures of this plane. I had decided more than 2 years ago, to work myself on the whole paintkit, to make it HD and better looking at all. I decided to vectorise every single detail on the whole paintkit. Due to my studies, i've not been able to work very consistently on this, but nevertheless, I got an advanced piece of work to show you all. At this moment, I got the wing textures of these planes almost finished (just need to work on the alpha channels, reflections and some dirt and wear to make it look more realistic) in texture sheets of 4096x4096 in dds format, which works outstandingly well. I'm uploading a few pictures of the comparisons. Bear in mind they are not finished yet.

Level of details is quite high in my opinion, small letters can be read, badges, lines, screws, bolts are no longer so blurry, it is not perfect, still got a lot of work to do but I hope you like it :)

I was expecting to contact some Pairbus staff members, is there any chance to have any of their emails? I would like to send my work to any of them so that they could improve it, or maybe release it as part of the paintkits.

Thanks for appreciating this work. If you want to contact me feel free to email me at iloveflightsimulator@gmail.com :)

Hey Pairbus Team,
I just went checking the Airbus A330/340 topic and it seems like it stopped, does it have to do with the A32X project? Would be nice to get some news since the topic is locked and no one replies anything :(
Sorry the question

The A330/A340 topic is locked because people are asking PA for an aircraft which haven't flow yet in real life (A330 NEO). It's also locked to avoid questions about the release date.

They release them when they're ready. Remember PA works on it in their spare time

I know about they lifes but didn't knew that they lock topics for these reasons, in that way, I agree for locking it, just a random question and I'm clear, Thank you ReneM. :D

I think it is the best solution to stop those question. I also think this topic has to be closed because of the repaint requests and the same questions caused closing of A330/A340 topic.

The A330/340 topic was locked due to it getting out of hand with requests for updates and news. Clearly people don't understand and the usual questions of "is the A320 holding up development" etc etc continue to pop up. We can appreciate the interested, but the fact is there hasn't been any news to share.

These are shaping up quite nicely. I think I saw a preview of the A321 in Thomas Cook Livery (if I made a mistake sorry) but if it was, can't wait to see it in Delta Airlines colors. (My goodness, I'm starting to like Airbus aircraft since Delta is flying them. )

I have a question, however (and I apologize if it appears I'm looking a gift horse in the mouth): Will there also be a texture update to include an option for a wifi dome on top of the A32x series? I've noticed that the wifi domes (at least on jetBlue's planes) are larger/longer than the usual SATcom domes. If there's no update, it's no big deal. Thanks for all your hard work guys!

Just a couple of comparison shots:
Standard SATcom dome (already modeled):

Newer wifi dome:

United's wifi dome (taller, shorter, further back on fuselage):

Also, all A32x equipped with sharklets have a different animation: their ailerons deflect upward when spoilers are deployed upon touchdown, as this video from youtube will demonstrate (just the first 30 seconds):
http://youtu.be/ejIw7QFvLvo
There is also American's A319 & A321 with optional antenna

http://www.airliners.net/photo/American ... /2446418/L

Virgin America smaller/different shaped SATcom dome

Looks like Jetblue A321 now has the Direct TV Dome

The previews look very nice --amazing should I say, taking into account that this is a freeware add-on. I'd like the new A32X with sharklets, as well as the A320 v3.0 to have the option to disable the engine jetheat. I do not like it very much.

Please do not forget to make FSX native models and add the hard-codded strobes so that FSX users can enjoy the new models as much as possible.
