A380 cabin models released

Post by esg »

Grab them here: http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=150623

Edit—

It's been reported the cabin windows are opaque in FSX. To correct this issue please replace glass_cabin.bmp with this one:

Edit 2— File removed; updated FSX cabin textures included with FSX packages: http://www.pairbus.com/board/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=631

The problem came from the alpha channel in glass_cabin.bmp. I fixed it very easily... But many other people don't know how to do this :?
I think you'd rather upload a fsx version of the file ;)

Does the virtual cabin get rid of wing views in virtual cockpit?

anxious ;)

What are the names of the interior textures that would need to be painted over in the paintkit? Are they to be determined?

Now bring on the virtual cockpit

Yeah. VC stands for Virtual Cockpit.

Or were you talking about the virtual cabin? If so, then no the Virtual Cabin model doesn't include the Virtual Cockpit.

Do you not have an account at Avsim? If not you will maybe have to create one in a few easy steps. No spam but you get access to the forums on Avsim. ;)

Have you registered/logged in with Avsim?

Are you using Firefox or Internet Explorer?

An absolute brilliant addition to the a380. I am currently flying off the coast of America bound for Charles de gaulle. With a departure time of 19:10 from JFK and an arrival time of 8:45 the following day this flight is showing the cabins night textures very nicely. Congratulations guys and thank you for honouring us with this aircraft.

If I may just ask for a slight tweak, at night the screens go dark whereas obviously they should be bright. Anyway of changing this? It would also be nice to see the light of the screen on the chairs etc...

Thanks

Good suggestions. We'll be likely updating the models in about a month, so these and a few other tweaks and fixes are coming then

Please forgive me if this information is posted here somewhere, I tried looking first but couldn't find what I was after.

Is this A380 an Avsim exclusive download?

Or can it be uploaded elsewhere, as long as the original files remain intact?

The only reason I ask, is that when they were hit by the hack, a lot of Avsim only files disappeared forever, and although unlikely,

it would suck if that were to happen again, and this file disappeared... I'm just saying. ;)

Other than that, I'd just like to say thank you for all the hard work, and effort your team puts into all of your projects.

without people like you, we'd all be flying defaults still. :D

It's exclusive to AVSIM unless we ever decide to host the files ourselves
