Air Canada A321
Air Canada A321
Painted by Derek.
Should probably take the opportunity to outline what's new with the A321:
-- improved wingflex code with input from several new parameters including ground spoilers, fuel load, and angle of attack
-- improved dynamic shine
-- improved wing parts
-- new antenna hiding method
-- custom nose gear steering code
-- custom fan animations (including fan windmilling)
-- modelled engine innards, fan semi-transparent at high rpm
-- double strobes
-- improved control surface droop w/engines off
-- rudder influenced by wind during surface droop
-- rudder lock between 2 and 30 knots
-- lots of other fixes and improvements
Also, do note, it's still WIP.

Re: Air Canada A321
That's quite a list of improvements. Very nice!
Re: Air Canada A321
omg omg omg!! amazing!!:D will download and repaint for sure and of course fly it!! are you guys gonna implement the semi-transparent high-speed fan in the A319? (it's ok if you wont) but that would be cool

This is what I meant in the general forum....esg wrote: -- rudder lock between 2 and 30 knots
Re: Air Canada A321
Nice top-stuff, it makes me now already crazy to begin with painting and flying this nice bird and to add this type to the 'Access Belgian VA Alliance'.

Also, without trying to be rude, can I just ask that one of the releasing liveries be the widely a321 occupied (200 to be exact) spanish airline Iberia.

Outstanding! can't wait! cheers.
Re: Air Canada A321
WOW!!!!! Looking great!
Few questions.
1. Will the crowned engines be modeled on the newer CFM engines?? US Airways has quite a few of these.
2. Will anyone be doing the US Airways paints? IAE and CFM.
3. WIll the FSX specific models have the wingviews like the FS9 models? Where the wing is actually in the VC, instead of just camera points.
Cant wait for this guys!!
PS HAHAHAHAHAHAHA on my signature!! Just now noticed it
I would agree aswell!! Hope it will be added to the 320!

Do you mean like this? http://www.airliners.net/photo/US-Airwa ... cd80a7d361 Take a look at the rear of the engine.Few questions.

Only 3 of their A321s have this, aircraft 193, 194, and 195. I am puzzled because there were CFM aircraft delivered later without this new modification.
Also, if PA doesn't do US Airways paints, I would certainly do them once the paintkit is released. Not to worry!
Anyway, Derek did a great job with the Air Canada repaint! I cannot wait to fly this bird myself! The Project Airbus team never fails to impress!
Re: Air Canada A321
This was just a test to make the engines a bit lower, but it revealed that this did not add the expected effect, so they left it. Similar to the new 787 or the A350.USAirwaysA321 wrote:Do you mean like this? http://www.airliners.net/photo/US-Airwa ... cd80a7d361 Take a look at the rear of the engine.Few questions.

BTW:Any news on the paints?Wich airlines are in the paintline?
Re: Air Canada A321
Thanks for answering the questions ESG. Cant wait man!
Re: Air Canada A321
Looking good there, the A321 . Must say, the improvements are looking good and, like always, allot of work must have gone in. Exciting and I can't wait . Will Santaclaus deliver it (maybe) , or is it too early to say?
Re: Air Canada A321
Great looking! There's only one thing I do not like when you publish all the great airplanes. When there are too many great airplanes for Flight Simulator, I can't decide what to use at all times, because i like all. But great work Project Airbus! I love Airbus planes! ;D (i like boeings too) Sorry for bad english, im from Finland and i used Translator to get my text to english.
Re: Air Canada A321
Hey guys! I have been absent from the forum for a while so I want to ask where are you going to release this fantastic bird?
Re: Air Canada A321
Oh damm.. looks nice, as always. How many projects are you working on at once right now? I see Morhaf's A340, PA A380 VC, and now the A321, take your time guys, there gonna be greatt!
Re: Air Canada A321
Ok just happy to know that you are working on it despite I don't see any news in the forum

Im going to tell you, you have to be about the 150th person who's FIRST post on the forum is.... "When will the A321 be released?" And you wont be the last i can guarantee you.
Its been said time and time again, The Designers at Project Airbus do not set release dates for their project, and constantly being asked will not speed up the process in any circumstance.

Re: Air Canada A321
Thanks I see them there. I might be a bit picky here but just to make you guys aware if you were already .. that the A321 Has an Extension flap which the a318-19-20 do not have. As there are no clear pictures of the flaps on the PA A321 I donot know if you are aware of it. Here is some examples:
A320 Wingview (without an extension Flap) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dZqTBtH ... re=related
A321 Wingview (with extension flap) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UP8Qovn4 ... re=related
Im not sure if this has been added in the modeling processs of this aircraft but just posted this incase

Good to hear, sounds you have it all done.
Anyone planning or willing to do a Airbus House (New Colour Scheme) for this jet?
