Aviation history

A little video I made a while ago that shows the most important milestones of flight:

Looks really good!

It's hard to represent the old classics in FS!

I did a project like that for my history class a long time ago. I didn't have the time to collect all that footage, so that's kind of why I decided to go with a pictoral approach rather than video.

Thanks!
I'm used to do things the hard way with formation flight and flying cameras.
iheart707, your videos are always awesome! I wish mine had that quality, but I'm used to a simpler approach on video effects.
Also my computer isn't the best for FSX (I bought it some months after FSX came out), so I have to record stuff with an average rate of 14 FPS (fraps is a bit heavy) and normal flight at 20-25 FPS in medium detailed zones.

The link I placed was only my second time making a movie with Sony Vegas. I was completely new to the world of editing - hence the type-o's.

If you want to learn a little about how I think movies should be made, you can read my blogs here...

FSX is demanding but I did find one thing to help pull some of the stress off of it when recording. Depending on the read/write speed of your HD on your computer, It may be beneficial to hook up a small 500 GB HD dedicated to your FRAPS footage. Hook it up internally, stay away from USB or fire wire drives. This will allow your computer to load FSX stuff off of one hard drive and record on another effectively reducing the delay on the drive by 50%.

A lot of it too with FSX is having a good processer. FSX is surprisingly more demanding on the CPU than the GPU.

Thanks for the nice remarks, but this topic is really about you Xpand rather than me. LOL!
