10,000 Miles

Post by iheart707 » 06 Oct 2010, 05:18

I posted this on the old Pairbus forums before it went down. So if this seems like a duplicate post, it is... Sorry if you read this before...

This video was originally made for a video contest entry. I refuse to mention who it was due to his/her lack of reply to my emails.

Anyways, this is a fantastic journey that will take you on what feels like '10,000 Miles' in only six minutes while experiencing the beautiful countryside in Alaska. The theme for this movie is about a sense of loss for a fellow pilot after he got himself into more than he could handle. The expression of feel for the cast and crew was the basis for the motion picture. In the contest, they originally wanted a person to climb into some piston poppers and come up with something that is nothing short of cool looking! I hope I have accomplished this in my video. In my opinion this goes great with the lyrics from Mary Chapin Carpenter's 10,000 Miles song. ( I hold no copyrights to the song, just the footage!)

This song was a true joy to work on as the base for the movie and I hope you all love it as much as I do.

Another reason for this mid-air emergency was to demonstrate that it lies in the presentation of it, rather than the accedent itself. The problem with midair emergencies that I have in the world of the flight sim is that a simple matter of loss of control leads all the time to a story that doesn't really make all that much sense. The sense of feel is greatly diminished in the other videos, which I hoped to accomplish in a more creative and abstract way that would be interesting to watch!

Have fun out there and enjoy the film and of course, make sure that you watch it in HQ!!!!!!!!
Comments both positive and negative are greatly appreciated as I use your thoughts and feelings to produce bigger and better movies.

Thanks again- iheart707

Back in the day, I did not have the best computer build, but I worked with what I had.The quality is not the highest, but it this was produced on a E4500 Core 2 Duo ( OLD! :o) and a 8600GT overclocked by 200 Mhz on the main bus.
