New FS... How Long? Which one?

How long do you think it will be before microsoft release a the new Microsoft Flight or a Demo for it - http://www.microsoft.com/games/flight/

Or are you looking forward to this instead from Outerra - http://outerra.com/

What is you view on this and which one would you go for?

Outerra, I looked at it once and I prefer it highly over MS Flight. Imagine flying over those mountains, its a dream. This is the first time I have ever heard of them (Outerra), I just hope that their simulator will not have simple aircraft to fly. But oh my God, the pictures just scream realism, the terrain is so incredibly, ridiculously detailed, I felt as if I was standing on the shore :o

Then again, MS Flight promises something good, so we dont exactly at this point which one is far more superior. In the end, it will all boil down to what kind of machine is needed to run the simulator(s) at a good FPS. They need to give out more pictures and more previews to market their simulator more.

What I really want to see in a simulator is detail to land and terrain without the cost of performance in FPS. In fs9, the mountains look like hills, and that just does not cut it. I also want to see some attention to improvement of roads and highways. Preferably, I want less car traffic, if any at all, sure it might add to some degree of realism, but it eats up system resources. Besides, in flight, you do not consider car traffic to be a part of the simulation.

So there's my opinion, hope it gives you some thought. ;)

I am concerned about Outerra and wondering if their planes will live up to what FS9 - FSX has. Outerra focuses on all of the vehicles; Microsoft focuses on one which allows them more time to perfect the flight dynamics and add all of the previous features.
