Ok I bought Windows 7 from PC World and installed it on my computer, here are my specs before I continue..
-Packard Bell BV IMEDIA X2416
-Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q8200 @ 2.33GHz (4 CPUs), ~ 2.3GHz
-4GB Ram
-640GB HDD
-Nvidia Geforce 7100/630i and I have the latest Drivers from Nvidia website for my OS
-Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit (6.1, Build 7601)
-DirectX11
Now my issue is when I start into a flight if I try to change view it all freezes but I hear the sound etc just literally can't change view? Like if i'm in Spot view it will be in 2-D Cockpit still and the cockpit frozen.
I'm using Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 and tried both V9.0&9.1 still no luck.. but FSX is fine just I get bad FPS due to my GFX Card..
Played around with the settings still nothing, and tried running it as Windows XP Service Pack 1,2,3 and Vista SP 1 & 2.
I am thinking of getting the Nvidia 8800GT (512mb) also.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Luke.
FS9 Problem please any help?
Re: FS9 Problem please any help?
here are my thoughts on this:
-consider all of the tasks running on the background, or set their affinity to another core on your CPU (speeds up the sim alot)
-consider overclocking(if your BIOS allows it, 2.33 ghz can run it, but fs9 needs raw cpu power, higher frequency = better fps.
-different GPU? tone down the settings in FS9?
hope this helped

Use disk defragmenter.

Something might be wrong with your graphic card ( i suppose) My cousin has a Intel Quad Core with 4GB ram and he plays Flight Simulator X w/o any-problem,
