After A321...

Post by A321flyer »

Now I know this is a way too early :) (the A321 just got released), but after the A321, does project airbus have any plans looking ahead for any future models such as the A330 perhaps :?:

1) They just released the A321. Let them have a little break, and then they will release something.

2) An A340-500/600 would make for a GREAT project. Just saying.

3) Knowing how much I enjoy said variant of the A340 and how I've probably told it to some unfortunate people to the point where they probably want to put their ears through a cheese grater, I think I will just keep quiet and see what happens.

I try not to be 'that guy' but lets not overlook the A300's ;)

Great job by the way on the 321's. Thanks for your diligence to release a quality item for everyone else to enjoy. We appreciate it!

Where? on AVSIM? or Flightsim.com
There's a release thread under Previews and Announcements with a bunch of AVSim links.

I think an upgrade of the A318, A319 and A320 would be nice. A318 and A319 with hardcoded double-strobes and transparent fan textures and the A320 with flexwings and the other features. 8-)

Those are minor upgrades and changes that could be made by just looking at how the model functions and playing around with code(dont know the programming language of these models are) but the main point here is, an upgrade of those models would be very minor because over the course of time, these models have not changed a bit(correct me if im wrong here).

Wasnt Thomas Ruth part of PA at one time? His A330s and A340s are 1 of, if not the best models for those aircraft out there :!: ;)

Though not totally amazing (but still pretty good...) there are the POSKY A330 and A340...with VC's. I love em.

Ah bedankt, mijn Engels is echt slecht XD

Als je met hun a330/40s vliegt en je maakt een bocht en je rolt terug dan draait het vliegtuig nog een stuk door ook sl vlieg je al recht. Dat is echt een minpunt bij het draaien naar de landingsbaan.

Bedankt btw

oohhhh oke is snap m xD

--- okay the problem is: with posky's a330/340, when you make a turn, then level off again, the plane continues rolling a little to the other direction, even if you're already flying straight. Thats quite a drawback when banking towards the runway on landing..

I think the A340-500 and -600 are the best projects for PairBus to consider. There are good A300 models out there and the A320 family is done, so is the A380. Which leaves the A330 and A340, well POSky do good A330, A340-200 and -300 models, but not the -500 and -600. And i cant find any good freeware A340-500s or -600s. I have to use the CLS one or the Overland one. I think PairBus would batter the CLS and Overland models even without a VC, and it would bring not only a good freeware A340-500 and -600 to the FS world, but the best freeware A340-500 and -600 to the world :)

What about A330? NOW I know Thomas Ruth Did one for FSX... But where's an FS9 one? And through all the creations like the A32x series and A380 series. It will blow POSKY, CLS, and Overland out of the Sky :D

I personally would love to see the older PA A318/319/320 models getting update to fit the A321 standards and maybe also some of the rarer models.

And I would like to say to that: the A330 is the model PA should consider best because quite frankly, its the next in line after the A320 family, and its a widely used aircraft by many many operators around the world, more than the A340 series, for me, overland already made a very good looking A340-500, -600, model. the Posky model is flawed in several ways. And I am not talking about the VC. Besides, the A380 has been made, which just adds to the 4 engine airbus line up.

Personally, the A330 models out there, just dont cut it when it comes to realism, the overland is ok(model needs more detail), CLS is buggy, and posky is...what has been said up there.

Well Said... I mean look at the previous models... that was like 3,4 or 5 years ago... And notice the A330-200 has two tail designs. Air France hosting the Old style and Delta/NW the New Style. And plus. there are WAY More variants then A340s like MRTT and Freighter.

I think it is time for a poll! Don't you?

To underline it again, whatever PAirbus will do, that is A330-200/300 or A340-500/600, it will be the best freeware aircraft. But at the moment let the guys spend their time on completing the A380 VC.

no, i think that a vc for a freeware model would be a bit unnecessary. mainly because there are also the gauges and panel to go w/the model to be compatible. that would just add more complicated work involved in making gauges and a panel for a VC. i think the external model is quite enough, personally, i fly these aircraft with a 2d wilco panel. it works for me and makes fly by wire with the wilco system a very good experience.

Hello,

I won't say "I wan't a VC" but, maybe, we can have a mix between PA 3d and Vasfmc for gauges... no? (it's just my opinion)
