"The switch" (X-Plane).
Having tried X-plane for a while, I have to say it feels and looks great (well, when it's night it doesn't "look" at all). The only thing missing from it is the vast user base to support it with extra A/C, despite the proccess being more straightforward. It does seem strange to me that not many users have made the switch, as the user base is not that big. I personally have FS9 (and FSX, just to justify the 80 Euros I spent on that thing), and will soon have X-Plane.
Re: "The switch" (X-Plane).
I have tried the X-Plane demo and did not enjoy it too much. there is not a lot of consideration for the user interface and they pretty much throw you in the deep end. I dont like the fact that there is no pre load screen to choose your location,l AC, time etc. and the controls seem awkward (maybe its cause i’m coming from FSX) and the default AC are terrible. I do however like the performance of the ac due to the way they calculate the ac’s movements and also the fact that it works on Mac’s. FSX is more designed for the beginner wheras XPlane is for the professional who does not care about looks
