How much voltage and miliampere running through that cable? Since i'm not an Airbus engineer, my wild guess is that the system is using relay instead of direct electrical flow, so some small wire (AWG18 or 14) might be enough. Again, since my guess is that you building a home cockpit, it all depends on your I/O output though...
