A319 Fuel manager

Post by DavidS » 13 Jun 2010, 12:28

Hey,

I have written a small tool for the A319. It allows you to plan the amount of fuel you need on a trip.

Please read the README + EULA before using the tool!

Current Version: 0.1.2.1 / June 14th, 2010

--------------------------------

CHANGELOG:

0.1.2.1:

Tried to fix an error with payload reading. Works with my system now... How about yours?

0.1.2.0:

Reading payload is now possible.

0.1.1.2:

Removed some lines in the code that were not neccessary.

0.1.1:

Fixed format exception errors.

Minor updates.

--------------------------------

IMPORTANT:
This is a BETA-release for testing. The author can not be held responsible for possible damage to hardware or software.
You can use this file on your own risk.
Unzipping the file means you accept these conditions!
Read the EULA for more information!!

IF YOU WANT TO HELP:
If you find errors and wrong fuel calculation, PLEASE let me know.
To fix an error you found, I need the following information:

Code: Select all

Which model-file have you used?
Which repaint?
Where have you downloaded the plane?
What was your route (lenght!)?
What were your entries to the fuel manager?
What was the amount of block fuel you should load?
What was the actual amount of fuel you used?
-------------------------------

This is a fuel planning tool for the Project Airbus (PA) A319-211 (http://www.pairbus.com).
This file was not created by members of Project Airbus. There is no support offered by the PA team.

INSTALLATION:
Simply unzip the content of the zip-file to any folder you want :-D

HOW TO USE:
Start FS2004 and create or load a flight with the Project Airbus A319 of your choice.
Set your payload inside of FS2004 (setting it with the tool will come later!).
Press ALT + TAB to get back to Windows. Then start the Fuel Manager.
Press the "Read payload" button.
Enter other information.
Press "Calculate!".
Board the fuel manually inside FS2004 (automatic version will come later!).

In this BETA-version, automatic fuel boarding is not yet possible.

//Since it's still faulty, file is removed until i fixed it.

Hey davidS,

With what was that application made? Is that with C? Because if that is the case, I really suggest you to try gauge making in flight simulator.

Lovely effort David. Keep it going. Good work & appreciate your time spent on it for the PA A319.

Thanks :)

After two test flights, here is what I can say: Without reserves etc. the fuel amount given by the fuel manager is about 5-10% too high.
The PA A319 seems to be "greener" than I thought... :D

PAIRBUSBEST,

it is written in C#, a derivate of C.
To be honest, I have no clue about how to make gauges :D
Is it similar? Then I could try :D

EDIT:
Automatic payload reading is now possible! :-)
HAHA, obviously, it is not.... LOL
There's still an error with an array ;-)

To the PA team or anyone who knows about the A319: For implementing the automatic fuel boarding feature, I just need info about how the fuel tanks are filled...
e.g. if you need 7000kg fuel aboard, how much will be in each tank?

I am very interested in this, Dave. Keep us updated.
Well everything is getting greener nowadays, even the Prius in my driveway :D.
PA are also going in that direction, so it seems. ;)
