Post by Matt Tank »

Hey guys, since theres all the hype about the PA A380 I made up these custom wingviews, pretty sure theyre close to real seating points

Code: Select all

[VIEWS]
VIEW_FORWARD_WINDOWS=MAIN_PANEL,GPS_PANEL,40

VIEW_FORWARD_RIGHT_EYE=-0.300, -0.200, -50.000
VIEW_FORWARD_RIGHT_DIR=3.000, 0.000, 70.000

VIEW_RIGHT_EYE=-1.800, -0.800, -35.000
VIEW_RIGHT_DIR=3.000, 0.000, 90.000

VIEW_REAR_RIGHT_EYE=1.900, 2.000, -10.000
VIEW_REAR_RIGHT_DIR=12.000, 0.000, 126.000

VIEW_REAR_LEFT_EYE=-1.000, -0.800, -5.000
VIEW_REAR_LEFT_DIR=7.000, 0.000, 223.500

VIEW_LEFT_EYE=2.800, -0.800, -35.000
VIEW_LEFT_DIR=3.000, 0.000, 264.000

VIEW_FORWARD_LEFT_EYE=0.300, 2.300, -50.000
VIEW_FORWARD_LEFT_DIR=10.000, 0.000, 293.000
Regards

Nice one Matt, although some of those last ones look a little too high to be main deck (and too low to be upper deck) - bear in mind the ref position will be the flight deck i.e. between floors.

You don't put it the aircraft.cfg, but in the panel.cfg!

did you get rid of the views section thats already in your panel.cfg or did you leave those there?
you have to overwrite the views section thats already in the .cfg

As the panel.cfg is just referencing the 747's panel, I think you have to copy the contents of the 747's panel folder over (let it overwrite panel.cfg) and then add the wingviews to the cfg file. Someone correct me if I am wrong

No thats right, sorry, forgot that people are using the default 744 panel, if you want these wingviews you have to put the default 744 in the panel folder of your A380 (not aliased) and then paste the views in there.

Hi. Im using FSX for this and I want to install these wing views but my panel.cfg only says this:

Code: Select all

[fltsim]alias=b747_400\panel
Could someone please explain precisely how to install these wingviews?

Thanks!
