Project Airbus A380 AI

Post by planenutter »

Ok, so I created some AI flight plans, I start to load the flight up, when I get to 98% it says fs9 has stopped working and will now close. When I go to any airport which I have created an PA A380 flightplan for it does this. When I am at an airport which doesn't it loads. Has anyone got any idea what is happening here, as I would really like to get some A380's on my FS2004.

thanks in advance planenutter

Use Ai-models!The Pairbus A380 has too many Poly's for Ai-Traffic use.

Try the woai packages as they combine the best a380s you just might need to download the extra liveries.

look at the third image here, it looks like a Qantas A380 by PA along with an Emirates by PA.

No, not even close. If you check the textures on Qantas, you'll see they're rather low resolution. Additionally, the wingroot of the Qantas A380 is blocky and therefore, low poly (suitable for AI), while Derek's model has a wongroot smooth like J-Lo's butt. :P

You can use anything you have. The deal is, if you use Wilco, Overland or PA models for AI, you'll hurt your frames a lot. Use PAI models, after all you don't sit around AI aircraft and stare at them all the time. They don't need to look great!
