FSX Install Errors 1722 and 1603.

Post by lbonomo »

Sigh, here we go again, FSX proves to be more and more of an upset every day... So I tried repairing my FSX using the disks and the first disk installed smoothly and I was then asked to insert the second disk so I did, then about 5 minutes later I got Error Message 1722, then comes "Rolling Back Action", then Error 1603. FSX has become totally unusable now and I've been trying to figure out the problem for 2 days now and have no idea what else to do. The problem seems widespread and everything I've searched online has not worked and was wondering if anyone has ever experienced this problem and has a solution. Thanks.

Problem is that I've tried several "solutions" I've seen already and now worked. I am gonna try a battery pull upon Error 1722 to prevent Rolling Back Action and Error 1603, and I will update after... hopefully this works.

Are the CD's scratched or is your disk drive dirty?

Try using a bottle of CO2 to clean out any dust that might have built up on the lazer.

Well I got the Error 1722 and 1603 problems resolved but now when I try playing FSX I get yet another message that reads "Flight Simulator was unable to load some program files and will now exit. Please reinstall flight simulator to repair the program installation" ... Oh boy FSX is really getting on my nerves now. Any idea on what to do? Repairing it doesn't work..
