PA A320 Variants

Post by wottie110 » 09 Nov 2010, 18:56

First off, hello all. This is my first post. Just have to say that the work you guys at PA is sublime. As far as I am concerned, THE BEST Airbus packages you can get (including payware!). So thank you!!!! :D :D :D :D :D

Now to the point of my post. I was lucky enough to travel on British Airway's G-BUSH (A320-211, MSN:042, built 1989) last weekend from MAN to LHR. It was a good experience being able to fly on one of oldest A320 still serving. What I want to know is is there a dedicated PA A320-211? Or is only the -214 available? I downloaded a few from Flightsim.com and Avsim listed as -211's but when you open the aircraft CFG, under GENERAL it says its a -214?? If there isn't a dedicated one, is it possible to use the "-111" airfile with the "-214" model and aircraft CFG to get and accurate representation of a -211's engine characteristics? Or will that affect flight dynamics?

Sorry if this is a bit long-winded!!

Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I think you can just use the "-111" airfile. There is no real difference between the flight dynamics of the "-111" and the "-214" as far as I know.
