The Infamous Aircraft Boneyards

Although this published story is old, (2008) it still highlights the importance of enjoying the older jets that are still in service. People today sometimes think, "Why would I ever fly on that old hunk of junk?" when years later, they will come back and will say, "Those were the days...".

I wish the aviation community would preserve more of these airplanes, especially the classics (CV-880, 707's, DC-8's, L-1011's...) before they all disappear forever into a pile of scrap. At least it's good to know that some of these will fly again.

Enjoy the classics while you still can. Soon, they will be no more...
