Project Airbus – Talk

So far they've rejected four of my uploads because they don't like my zip files. First I uploaded in zip form using winrar, and then today I uploaded using a zip file created using the windows compression utility (which they advised!).

What's going on? How is everyone else creating their zips?

To be honest, this whole episode is f*****g stupid. It's a zip file, how hard can they make it??

What's the reason they've given for rejecting it? Not forgetting to include the Readme/contact info, are you?

They're not recognising my zip file, claiming it's missing!

Odd thing is that I got the e-mail telling me it had been checked for viruses and was clean, but then about 8 hours later, I'm getting the failure e-mail!

I just right click and send to zipped folder with WinZip.

No joy

It's a pretty big file as I'm uploading the model with the textures, sounds and VC all ready to go. I think it's coming in at around 35meg.

I'm baffled as to quite how they can make something this simple so complicated!

Don't include the VC and the sounds

Is AVSim the only site I could upload these files to? Does anyone use simviation?

I'm unsure of any possible website rivalry politics, I just always see AVSim links around these parts!

I have an idea how I can get it onto AVSim though. I have a netbook running 32bit XP, so I should be able to use a much older version of winzip that should be compatible. I'll try tomorrow as I'm currently having a genius moment on affinitymask tweaks for hex-cores and need to keep testing!

I think a good idea would be to ask a member of the AVSIM staff or post on their forum about this.
