SID and STAR of EHAM Amsterdam Schiphol are online.

If you use the addon scenery "Mega Airport" fom Aerosoft, you must update a file in the panel, because Aerosoft has added helipads as runways, and there is no enough place in the airport information page to display reals runways.

So I have added a filter to display only the runways that have a longer of 4000ft minimum.

Here is the link to download the A320_FMS_main.xml file, if you use Mega Airport SCHIPHOL :
update of the FMS main file for SCHIPHOL Mega Airport d'aerosoft

You must copy this file in each \panel\A320_FMS\ folder (CFM and IAE)

For those who have undestand the SID construction, I have prepared a kit to build STAR :

Kit and sample to create STAR

This kit contains a manual in HTM, and a sample with EHAM SCHIPHOL, with the STAR and runway approach charts.

Buid STAR is more complex than build SID, because you must examine the runways approachs files, to know for which runways the STAR has approachs .

Begin by european STAR, because US STAR are very difficult .

Hi Rednacks,

Some airports have no STAR : MISSOULA (KMSO) for example, because only certified pilots can land at Missoula (Dangerous airport in a valley).

Large airports, like PARIS Charles De Gaulle - LFPG have STAR, but no instrument apporach between the end of the STARs and the Final approachs, because, there is always a radar vectoring from ATC.

There is a toolkit to create SID, STAR and Approaches files based on an EXCEL file : http://www.db-online.fr/francois/SID-ST ... sample.zip

But, since I have decide to add the front entrance to holding pattern function, this toolkit doesn't describe this function. But this only for STAR and approches.

I must complete my gauge code for this function and I will publish a new EXCEL file. The only columns which the value can change is the "Turn" Columns.

Let me 2 or 3 days and I will update this toolkit.

This is the last part of my FMS gauge and the work will be completed, after 10 months !

Hi,

I have completed the xml code of the FMS for the front entrance in holding patterns in STAR and APPROACHS files.

Here is some picture to explain how code in the EXCEL file the holding pattern/

Left Holding pattern :

Right Holding pattern :

A sample with a front entrance in a left holding pattern :

Here is the code in the EXCEL file with the sample above :
Image

With this sfunction, the FMS will guide the aircraft according the ICAO procedure for this type of holding pattern entrance and the result will be :
Image

I will prepare a tutorial with a new EXCEL file to enter the data.

The front entrance for holding pattern (code 3 & 4 for the "Turn" Variable) will be compatbile with the panel beta 0.57 that I will post tomorrow or wenesday.

I will update all the existing STAR and approachs of hte actual database with this new function.

I have began to write a manual in french to explain about how create STARs and Approachs files, and DME arc, . I will try to translate in english if some people are interesting But only if people are interested, because that's give many works.
To create these files, you need 3 softwares only :
- EXCEL
- PLAN-G
- text editor (as Notepad++, the best)

I have made 2 errors in the files of EBBR, with the FLORA IAF, and the approachs from this IAF didn't works. (i have named the file FLORA.csv but the real name of the IAF is FLO, so the file must be called FLO.csv, and I have forgotten the 25L and 25R approachs from this IAF).

Hi acet0pgun,

You're welcome !

I have wrote a manual to create SID/STAR, but in french for the moment; Adrian Roebl is translating this manual in english. When It will be ready, I will post the link to download.

Canadian charts can be found on http://www.fltplan.com/AwMainToApproach ... CH&end=end but to access to canadian charts, you must create an account; It is free.

Canadian charts seam to be a little difficult to understand, but if you are motivated, I am sure that you will achieve perfectly this work.

the link to the provisional french manual (only for SID and STAR, not for Approachs at this moment and you can use goggle translation) to wait the Adrian job : http://www.db-online.fr/francois/SID-ST ... 0g(FR).zip

Here is a sample pack, with all files (XLS, CSV and Charts) of Brussels EBBR : http://www.db-online.fr/francois/SID-ST ... s/EBBR.zip

If you have quastions, I will answer with enjoy.

Francois

It can help you to understand how works the files

Hi,

I have a solution to introduce speed constraint according a waypoint in a SID. The file format doesn't change. The realized airports will be compatible with this new function.

I will come back as soon as possible to more explanations.
