Thanks for the A318 update 1.12.1 incl. overhead switch lights modification, Francois.
Just checked the overhead lights, but there is something wrong with the switch texture, please see the pic.
All other elements in the VC are ok. Hopefully this could be corrected...

How is it that you don't see a problem? The rectangle around OFF looks like it doesn't have anti-aliasing.

The A318 v1.12 works fine.

Here one button camparison between the basic and modified texture. It can be seen that the rectangular frame around ON has been set on a slightly overall turned and low-resolution texture.

Yes I, said.

I am not the author of this set. So, this is the reason why I uploaded in a separate CAB file. I think that Nicolas is a beginner in design. But his work exists and I have to offer it.

In this panel, I done only the 4 displays bitmaps set (PFD, ND and ECAMs) and FMC gauge bitmap. All other bitmap come from default A321

I haven't enough time to work on the other bitmaps. But it is easy to do with Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop. These are 8 bits bitmap picture.

My priority now is to adapt panel to other aircraft.I cannot do all at the same time alone; I already spend all my free time away from my family.

If someone want to improve panel bitmaps, this is the moment ! This is an easy job for a person who know Photoshop, but requires many time.

Panel update for the A320 (version 1.12.1) , with same features than the A318 1.12.1.

http://freenavdbgroup.com/download/Pane ... %20IAE.zip

I included "aircraft.cfg" files fixed about deice problem and the "Sound\Callout" folder updated, if you haven't do it, with the new "Retard" function and the 2500ft callout fixed.

Thanks for the A320 V1.12.1 update, Francois!
A quick look into the A320 IAE aircraft.cfg shows the old wrong value again for the max_indicated_speed=350 instead of 400 kts in the [Reference Speeds] block.

I have the brain in the space !

- For IAE Indicated speed, you can change yourself.

- About memo ICE DETECTED, "{crl3}" is a XML synthax error. There is a "\"character missing in the code line..... :laugh:

Sorry, I will upload tonight a fixed panel....

{clr3} is the color to display a text in a gauge string (here red color) and \ is an escape code to execute the instruction.

A320_CFM_ECAMS.xml file : 3 lines have missing \ before {clrx}
line 1394 : \{clr4}
line 1449 : \{clr3}
line 1503 : \{clr4}

A320_IAE_ECAMS.xml file : 3 lines have missing \ before {clrx}
line 1353 : \{clr4}
line 1608 : \{clr3}
line 1662 : \{clr4}

Just made a check flight with the A320 CFM in autoland mode with low weight in KSTS RWY32 ILS with no prob.
The autoland is a bit harder because of the low landing speed ~120 kts for a nearly empty aircraft....but ok.

But why does the takeoff menu propose for a low weight variant an unaccaptable (red) speed (185kts) in green dot mode?
An automatically acceptable min. speed value of e.g. 205 kts would be helpfull.

What is the sense of the 2. "retard" callout? Time to disengage the thrust reverser at 60 kts latest?

Thanks for feedback about autoland.

It seems that there is a wrong parameter in greendot speed with very low weight. I will check

There is no 2 "retard". But now, "retard" is played until you set your throttles to 0, like real Airbus.

I uploaded Panel fixed for ICE DETECTED reading for A318 and A320. They are available and you can download. Fix errors in aircraft.cfg file of the A320 IAE.

If you don't download, please set in the A320 IAE version aircraft.cfg file the deice sytem to "2".

Sorry.

Sorry, I discovered another bug. X-Bleed selector has not the same position between VC and anel 2D.

Sacha told me, but I thought that he spoke about the FSX default A321 which has the position name inverted. I edited the bitmap, in the past, to have the same name positon, but noow, since I changed the Deice code, the bug comeback !!

Sorry. I will try to find the error.

This is the 2D panel that have the true position.

Now, I understand all !!

So, by change the code of the X-Bleed to get the right function 0= auto and 1= shut, the original bug of the default microsoft VC come back !!

In the VC, the selector works with an increment, so the first positon must be 0, but the first graphic position is Shut and shut=1 !). I cannot modify the MDL file of the VC

There is no solution ! By change the code, to get the deice working, bug is back ! And I uploaded aircraft and panels on libraries !!!

Now, I understand why microsft had inverted bitmap in the orinal 2D overhead (first posiion is AUTO in the default A321 2D overhead; you can check).
So,I inverted aty the beginning of the project the 2D panel position to get the same presentation than the VC.

This is the only way, but 2D panel and VC will not have the same name position...like the default A321

bad news !! :(

There is another solution :

- I must edit the VC texture to invert the name.
- I must invert the bitmap of the 2 Panel

In final, position from left to right will be AUTO-SHUT-APU-ENGS.

No other solution to get the same sheme between VC and 2D panel

ok; it's done :

I have to modify 8 VC texture (4 version with day and night).

I replaced the 2D original bitmaps.

And I have to change the code of the X-bleed selector to animation.

But that works !

latest version is 1.12.1

Panel 1.12.1 for A318 and A320 are on freenavwebsite. You have to download them and update.

But it remains a small error in these panels, with a difference with the X-Bleed position between 2D overhead and VC. The 2D overhead has the right position.
This error comes from the Deice new code that call back an old Microsoft VC bug.

This error will be corrected in the next panel update.

I am sorry for the trouble, but panel 1.12.1 works fine except this small graphic error in the VC overhead.

Is it Ok ?

Hello,

X-Bleed fix is ready !!

As I am always in the space, somewhere between Mars and Jupiter, I prefer that you test the patch. so, I am afraid always to forget something..... :D

This patch is for the A318 and the A320 (these files are the same for all aircrafts)

This patch contents :
- Overhead gauge updated with new code to X-Bleed selector
- bitmaps of X-Bleed position for 2D overhead gauge
VC texture updated in 4 versions :
- A321 Default FSX (light texture in 16bit) Night and day
- Same texture that default but in 32 bits (better, but more heavy) Night and Day
- Texture Night only "Blue Led" of paul Davies (32 bit) Night only
- Texture "orange of Nicolas Lidy" 16bit Night only

I have inverted in all these texture set the AUTO and OFF X-Bleed position; And I redraw the "Side Stick Priority" push button without reading (in previous texture, this button had "MAster Caution" iluminated !)

All these files are common to all my aircrafts.

You have to unzip the CAB file in the Panel folder of each aircraft (you can delete after the CAB file, because the folder unziped is equal.
Copy inside overhead gauge and 2D bitmaps.

VC texture are located in the "Texture" folder of each aircraft. replace with the new set.

Thanks for your feedback to know if all is ok.

You can download the set here :
http://freenavdbgroup.com/download/dive ... %20fix.zip

I hope that it is the last update, because I want to work on A321 !!
:D :laugh: :) ;)

Thank you, you did an exceptional work! To me everything is okay.

The only issue is that i cannot turn the xbleed selector in 2D panel (even if mouse hand appears to do that) but is not related to textures changes i guess. Anyway to me is not so important as i fly mainly in VC.

In 2D panel, X-Bleed selector turn with click mouse or wheel mouse.

In VC, X-bleed turn with mouse wheel only.

Are you sure that click mouse dosen't work in your 2D overhead ? This is very curious !

Have you unzip the A320_CFM.cab, A320_IAE.cab and A318_CFM.cab files ?
replace A32x_popup_overhead.xml file provided in the patch in each of these 3 folders (with the 8 2D panel bitmaps) ?

and delete the cab file ? because I think that you cannot have the cab file and the uncompressed foolder at the same time in the panel folder....

Someone else has tested ?

Hi i did following carefully your instructions. I also reinstalled your panel version 1.12.1 before texture fix and the issue is still there. For sure it was working before your last code change

However is not drammatic, when you will release the full pack i will install it all entirely. Maybe there is something missing or messed up in my folders due to the last small upgrades/fixings

Beside, the frustrating thing is the joystick issue when i reach the maximum roll angle, i cannot roll back for ten-twenty seconds or more! And the plane continues cycling. After a while magically i can. It doesn't matter if i unplug-plug the joystick cable or use ailerons keyboard keys to try to roll back.

Prosdocimo, you have strange bugs.

Which version of FSX you use ?

About your joystick, it seems that it send too much data or buffer issue....Have you try to de-install re-install joystick driver ?

Have you FSUIPC ? I f yes, try to configure your joystick via FSUIPC; better than FSX setting (but you have to cancel the joystick setting in FSX).

I have sp2 version and i don't have fsuipc.
My joystick is Logitech 3d Pro.
As i know there are no drivers i guess, i can make a search.

About 2D overhead selector, you may check the correctness of mouse areas scripts in xml gauge

That's strange. A few days ago I tried the RNAV(GNSS) Y RWY 02 at Santos Dumont Airport, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The last part of the approach involves a tight visual left turn. Even though I reached the maximum bank angle, I could roll back normally out of the turn.

I think that it is an issue with the Joystick. It looks like if there is a buffer which must have an overflow.

I check the Logiteck website and effectively, it requires no driver.

Prosdocimo, If you want, I can make for you a special version of the flight envelop gauge by deleting the roll protection code ?

And about your overhead issue, this is very strange, because I have already 4 feedback, that report to me that all works fine with the patch.

Please, if smeone has tested this patch, give us feedback.

Thanks

I can not see a change for the IAE Panel

Hi François good news. I found the trick about joystick. I must be very gentle to roll back otherwise "the system" doesn't take my inputs.

@mosquito-x. That change only defines the kind of anti-ice system implemented (1 = Heated Leading Edge; 2 = Bleed Air Boots). On Airbus it should be 1, but somebody suggested François to use 2 to resolve an issue. I personally made some tests between 1 and 2 and i didn't find any differences in anti-ice. I guess it could be changed back to 1 in CFM.

The "CALLOUT_FD" folder exists since the first beta of the aircrafts ! You haven't this folder in your "FSX\Sound\" folder, you can find it in panel update Zip fle; you have a folder "Sound"; Inside, there is the "CALLOUT_FD" folder.

These wav files are the altitude and speed Callout, and also many additional sounds for the VC .

It seems, after test, that there is no difference between 1 and 2 in the SIM. In all choice, wing Deice cannot work if X-Bleed is sur OFF/SHUT.

So, no importance about the structural_deice_type setting

I do not recognize this effect on my end with a Nvidia GPU GTX980. It seems that the whole display is slightly rotated and therefore creates artificially broken lines. Pls. check if this effect is overall recognizable on your full screen by manually locating the FMC window in several monitor screen positions.
Nvidia provides in his control menu only +/-90°screen rotate features, not in degree decimals.

I never had this issue. But i remember that when i was running FSX with Intel video card i was experiencing similar issues with Ecam/ND/PFD pop-up windows. I resolved adding few pixels in wideness to their dimensions in Panel.cfg. you may try to do as well for FMC window. Later when i switched to Nvidia videocard this issue disappeared.

For the moment that we are all in bug-issues resolving mode.. just to make crazy François :D :D ..i would like report this small issue: when xbleed selector is on Eng, a double overlayed temperature reading appears on Ecam's bleed page (where there are Lo/Hi needles)

1.) I must press mast caut 2 times to open the Panel
--> yes, I have to press sometimes 2 X. I´ve found out that there is a time lag after each knob press. In other words it is necessary to wait ~1...2 seconds to press any further switch. Then only 1 press is needed.

2.) 2D View I can not read QNH values properly.
--> on my end it looks crisp and clear. I guess it is an ATI issue, although I remember ATI has only problems with FSX DX10.

Wulf, about the first issue, i realized that it came out when it was introduced the possibility to close FMC clicking again on the Master button.

The idea that i made is when you click on that button for the first time you have Fmc windows on. Fine. But if you close Fmc clicking on its window's X... to re-open it again you need to click on master button for the second time (but this instructs Fmc to be closed ..but already closed because you pressed X and not the master button!) and than the third time (that instructs Fmc to be open)

In other words it seems the master button cycles between (1st click):open-it! (2nd click)close-it! (3rd click)open-it...

I believe it is happening because of the wingflex. How can I fix it ?
You need to delete something in the [LIGHTS] section of the aircraft.cfg file, but I don't remember exactly what.

Very well recognized.

That's exactly what I have just checked.
When I close with X the FD-FMC window, I have to press twice the master button.
But if I use master button to close the window, I can open it with the next click again.
