Station load 7 is a full rear small compartiment, that not accept container :

Image

I think that is used for large bulky objects, that don't enter in standard containers.

At FL300 it seems good but too much pitch at FL390. Maybe set cruise_lift to 0.95 could be better?

Edit:
François, is it right the weight in station_load.7=605 ?
The .5 is 6050
I work on tanks location. If attitude change with fuel level, I think that is the solution. I think that tanks are placed closest of CG in real aircraft; the most logical....

I solved the bug, about Pitot icing.

When pitot was iced, sometimes, Pitot stayed failed, even if pitot heat was activated.

I added new code to remove Pitot blockage; After press Pitot heat switch, wait 20 to 40 seconds, and pitot will work again.

Panels will be updated next week.

I had Not enough time to update panel this weekend. Sorry, next weekend. Many works on the A321.....

But I updated the Airport creation toolkit (v4.12) with new user manual about Holding pattern with 2 altitude constraints :

In english : http://freenavdbgroup.com/?page_id=397

In French : http://freenavdbgroup.com/?page_id=212

When A321 will be completed, I will work on A380 (probably based on the A340 Tom Ruth's VC but with FD-FMC gauges, because it seems that the FS9 A380 VC occurs some FPS hit in FSX) with transoceanic routes (NATS & PACOTS).

I must ask the permission to Tom Ruth

Hello Francois,

The development of the program FD_FMC SID STAR precedes (Prof. version).
This version I'm working on will take some time.

Therefore I have decided to present a simpler version (Lite).
This still needs an installer and a manual. (3-4 Weeks it will be done).

What are the features of the Prof. version ?

Automatic creation of all csv files from a Navigraph Cycle.
Automatic adjustment of available waypoints.
with LAT LON data from the following data.

a.) PlanG database.
b.) OR generated by makerwys Pete Dowson files.
c.) OR Navigraph Cycle Data.

An import existing airport takes 1 minute.
Then you can new SID, STARS create or modify existing ones.

automatic copy of all files in the right directories
compilation (optional)

A generation of all csv, txt, xml, bgl from Navigraph data

A normal Airport as EDDW needs
a.) Reading the data
b.) Check, Fine Tuning
c.) Creating the Airport .txt file
d.) Creating csv, xml files
e.) bgl compile xml file

takes between 15 to 25 minutes.

What can the Lite version ?

a.) Import existing airport
b.) autofind existing waypoints from PlanG
c.) generates all files ( No need to look for too much commas)
d.) manual creation of SID and STAR
e.) auto update from lowercase to upercase (type ed eddw udado, will be updated to ED EDDW UDADO
f.) automatic controll of decimal signs. 52.99910875 will be converted to 52.999109
g.) Add+ a new waypoint, with arrow up/down move it to the right position. Total Number of WPT will be incremented.
etc.

Here a screenshot of the SID -DATA / SID -INDEX Form

I hope you like it

In my opinion we have already A318, A320 and A321. In case of a next twin engine airbus, i'd like fly A330 instead :P

Thanks Thomas your job is amazing! Even if I'm not an airport creator so i will not use it

If you ever fly with a ATC Controller like PROATC/X
You can hardly follow the advices by ATC

PROATC/X , FS Commander and other tools using DATA from an Navigraph cycle.
All Tools must use the same cycle.
One User has cycle 1406 an other 1602.
It's not important what cycle you have, but to be insync all Tools have to use the same cycle.

The user A is only interested on flights in Europe the other user B likes to fly in the USA.
User A needs Airports in Europe the other in the USA.
Both needs a tool to create their own favorite Airports (SID / STAR), wich are used by FD-FMC.

The success of Project FMC simplified depends on how easy it is for a normal user to create his favorite airport (sid / star) itself.
Or he waits until this airport from other is created.

The favorite airports not exist ! Less fun.

Hello Thomas,

Your soft sounds great !!!

I haven't Navigraph data and I don't know how they are formatted; But is the speed information about STAR or approach are include in these files ?

A319 will be done also. But since 4 years that I work on A32x serie, I would like to change of Aircraft....I need some new horizon....

I will try to do A319 in the same time.

I did not know that navigraph data was in XML format. Keep your work moskito !

For members who had downloaded beta A321 CFM, here an panel update :

http://freenavdbgroup.com/download/Pane ... 201.16.zip

This update contains :
- New AIR file updated (better thrust at low throttle and to take off, improve cruise attitude)
- new aircraft.cfg file
- new panel with following features :

- Fuel system completed, with 3 central tanks : lower ECAM updated;
- New security : You cannot engage LOC/APPR pb, if a holding is armed or engaged,
- New security : you cannot arm or engage an holding if LOC/APPR is activated
- In previous version, if Pitot was iced, system can stay out of order even if pitot heater was activated (fsx bug); Now, pitot deicing works in all case (wait 20 to 40 seconds)
- In descent page, if a holding has an exit altitude lower than the entry altitude, this exit alaitude is displayed, with a blink text to think that you have to run this mandatory holding pattern.
- New V1 V2 VR calculation for A321

If these updates are validate, I will update A318 and A320 with these features.

Small delay for Airport database update; Tomorrow, in the morning;

The sub-folder A321FD-FMC is located in the panel.A321CFM panel folder.
To be located into the FSX/Gauges folder or to stay as is?

Hi thank you! Attitude is ok to me. I found two things. The first tanks used are the central ones and not the wing's. Shoudn't be on the contrary? During the switch between a finished central tank and the new central one the engines seem stopping and starting again.

no importance. A gauge folder can be in panel folder or FSX gauge folder. Same thing.

During beta, I place it in panel folder : more easy for me to work on files.

With final version, as FD-FMC is comon to CFM and IAE version, I will place it in Gauge folder : 1 CAB file for 2 aircraft version.

I will check that. Maybe I should toggle center tanks valve before tanks become empty.

I will test.....

About tanks feeding order, FSX aircrafts are false. In FSX, wings tanks are used in first

Real sheme: Fuel must be pumped in central tank(s) before, after finishing by wings.

This is the reason of the fuel_system gauge; Get the true fuel sheme.

Yes it seems not working as the first tanks that are emptied first are the central ones and not the wing's. In a318 and a320 it's correct. I also realized that the central #1 and #3 go to zero. Meanwhile in the #2 there is a leftover when wing's tanks are switched.

order is ok :

Tank central 3 (central backward)
then
Tank central 2 (central forward)
then central 1 (main center)
then wings

bugs when toggle from center 3 to 2 or 2 to 1. Engines slow down then start again. I must toggle pumps and valves before that tanks are empty.

This sheme is the right sheme.

Center in first, wings after.

A318 and A320 use the same sheme.

Here, fuel system gauge fixed for A321 ---> http://freenavdbgroup.com/download/Pane ... system.zip

Unzip A321_Fuel_system.xml file and place it in "panel.A321CFM\A321FD-FMC" folder

This update fix the shut down engine issue when center tank 2 or center tank 3 is empty.

Francois, I did a flight from EHAM to EGCC and I discovered a flaw in the EGCC approach data: current runways are 05L/23R and 05R/23L, but in the FD-FMC, the runways are 06L/24R and 06R/24L.

Could you please correct that? Thanks.

Hi there,
sometimes it is helpfull to compare how real airliners are following official arrivals/approach. Enclosed a pic which shows a REAL landing track from a MD11F in KONT Ontario, California, today (left pic) and the defined ZIGGY5 arrival in FSX (right pic) with the A321 panel 1.16. KONT is under test and will be provided soon.

Well, let me elaborate. UK2000 Manchester Xtreme shows the current runways (05L/R and 23L/R). I don't what are the runways in the default FSX.

Defaut FSX EGCC has runway 06/24. So Jean-Pierre Varnier who has realized EGCC Freenav files, did it according default FSX airport.

UK2000 Scenery use the actual runway name. So I will prepare this week-end an version with actual runway name; This easy and quick to change data, and no AIRAC update required. I did it last weekend for LFML.

I will upload saturday.

A320/321 speed brakes efficiency during flight:
When I activate the speed brakes in the A320 V1.15 or in the A321 V1.16 and AP is activated, then the speed brake lever arm moves to 100%. For the A320 the efficincy during flight should be max 50%, but for A321 the setting for 100% is correct acc. to the pilots blog below. For your info.

If I understand, speed brakes can extend at 100% with AP for A318, A319 and A321 and only A320 has 1/2 speed brakes.

Correct ?

Check your light section in aircraft.cfg :
[lights]
//Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing 6=taxi, 7=recognition, 8=wing, 9=logo
light.0=3, -77.90, -0.15, 4.80, fx_navwhih
light.1=2, -77.90, 0.15, 4.80, fx_strobeh
light.2=1, 6.80, 0.00, -5.80, fx_beaconh
light.3=1, 3.83, 0.00, 8.47, fx_beaconh
light.4=5, 11.57, -10.48, -5.91, fx_PAland
light.5=5, 11.57, 10.48, -5.91, fx_PAland
light.6=9, -67.88, 8.99, 18.45, fx_pa380logo
light.7=9, -67.88, -8.99, 18.45, fx_pa380logo
light.8=7, 59.50, -1.00, 3.00, fx_vclighth // VC Day Lighting eclairage jour <-- VC day (recog switch)
light.9=4, 57.00, 0.00, 6.00, fx_vclighth // eclairage nuit Cockpit

I agree that lighting must be imporved, but current works (not perfect)

I am finishing to test a new table 404 (Wing Angle of Attack versus Wing Coefficient lift); It seems that after many test, I am close to a very good behavior.
It fix the actual airfile that you use, which occurs a nose too down at high speed and low/middle altitude (not realistic).
I edited empty weight center of gravity for a better trim stability.

I hope post this new airfile and aircraft.cfg file tonight.

When airfile will be ok, aircraft will be ready.

Francois

On my computer, landing lights and taxi lights are very "light"; I think that I must change the beam orientation; Your advice ?

About landing lights, probably there is an issue on nose gear's lights direction. If you watch at it by the front, you can see four lights. Two small lower (both taxi lights) and two upper (a small one on the left that is a taxi again, and a larger one on the right that is a landing light). Now these two upper lights seem badly oriented as you can see just a light spot down the gear and not forward. The bottom small lights and the wing's seem ok.

Edit. I looked on the web, it seems that landing and taxi lights are kept both on during landings and take off. This may help to increase the light intensity here.

Edit2. I made some tests and i guess your A318 displays perfect taxi/landings lights. You could copy those settings to A321

I haven't tested the A321 during nighttime, but the A320's and A318's lights work well in my simulator. I am not using the default landing lights texture because they are too yellow. I downloaded another texture from Internet which has a bluer tint.

The change of the light beam vector/orientation from the landing and taxi lights (CTRL+ numpad 2,4,6, or 8 for down, L, R or up) is IMO sufficient to adjust the ground lighting.

When I will less busy, I will write a small 2D gauge with some fucntion as :
- Open/close doors
- control jetway and pusback (turn pushback)
- set the landing beam
- refuel
......

Link to download new beta (1.17) of the A321 CFM panel :

http://freenavdbgroup.com/Temp/A321FD-F ... 201.17.zip

This panel comes with a new AIR file, which has a new "wing lift versus wings Angle of attack" to improve aircraft attitude (more realistic pitch); previous version could have a negative pitch at high speed and low altitude (not realistic). I think that issue is solved.
please note that it requires that you use the aircraft.cfg file joined, because center of gravity has changed also (and some other minor data).

New panel :
- approach names can be longer in index list of approach
- fix LOC pointer strip on the PFD in backcourse mode (was reversed !, thanks wulf)
- a bug displayed "IAS" in descent page when no speed value

Now, I add these new features to A318 and A320 and I will update their panel next weekend.

I think that A321 flight dynamics are close to be completed; Maybe a last issue, about takeoff distance; I think that rooling distance is too long, according real aircraft, but your advice are welcome.

I think that I will adapt the new A321 Lift/angle of attack to A320 and A318 :)

Could you please correct that? Thanks.
Ok. It will be done for next database update.
Well, let me elaborate. UK2000 Manchester Xtreme shows the current runways (05L/R and 23L/R). I don't what are the runways in the default FSX.
Hi Carlos,

EGCC with current runway names is online :)

Note for airport creator,

I spoke some weeks ago about a fake airport called "XFMC", which allow to create terminal waypoints with free 2 lettrs ICAO region code.

After test, this fake airport cannot work if it is compiled in the AIRAC file. It seams that an airport file cannot contains "En Route" waypoints.
In this case, terminal waypoint was created, and appeared on the GPS/FMC map, but it was impossible to use it in a flight plan.

So, by compile this fake airport in a separate BGL file, all works fine and terminal waypoints can be added easily.

So when someone will need to create a terminal waypoint, I will add to the AIRAC file a second file called "XFMC.BGL" which contains the fake airport and all terminals waypoints with any 2 letters region code.

Begin your creation work, you can create a temporary XML file to add your terminal waypoints and compile with BGLCOMP.

Synthax :

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<FSData version="9.0"
xmlns:xsi='http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance' xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="bglcomp.xsd" >

<Airport
region="FreenavDBgroup"
country="FreenavDBgroup Database"
city="XXFreenav"
name="XFD-FMC"
lat="-84.00"
lon="0.00"
alt="-9.0F"
magvar="0"
ident="XFMC">

<!-- Special XFMC waypoints with free 2 chars regional code -->

<Waypoint waypointType="IAF"
waypointRegion="SB" <!-- you can set here the region code of your choice -->
waypointIdent="AAAAA"
lat="-23.453306"
lon="-46.756047"
magvar="20">
</Waypoint>

<!-- end of terminal waypoints -->

</Airport>

With this exemple, synthax to write in the ECXEL file this terminal waypoint is :
Type = W
Region code = SB (brazil)
Airport icao = XFMC
Waypoint name = AAAAA

Hello Francois,
With this exemple, synthax to write in the ECXEL file this terminal waypoint is :
Type = W
Region code = SB (brazil)
Airport icao = XFMC
Waypoint name = AAAAA
That's what I said.
16 May 2015,
Solution :
Give the waypoint an owner

you give Waypoint AAAAA an Owner XFMC that's it !

Look here Terminal Waypoints

Cheers,

Thomas

I agree thomas, but in first, I placed this airport in the AIRAC file with all "en route" waypoint, and that didn't work.

The Fake airport (and its terminal waypoints must be placed in a separate BGL file, only for it. Airport file cannot have "en route" waypoint otherwise, terminal waypoints cannot be inserted in a flight plan (they appears on the GPS map, but you cannot select them.

I spent 1 month to understand this issue !!!

Thanks for your idea.

I am preparing new final Aircrafts packages (A318, A320 and A321) version 1.20. with all last new features and bug fixed (many thanks to Wulf for help me to debug).

I think that new packages will be ok next weekend.

If you want, to wait...you can download the last AIR files for each aircraft (A318, A320CFM and A320 IAE) with new Wing lift and Angle of attack, for a mere accurate and realistic attitude.

The 3 air files are here : http://freenavdbgroup.com/Temp/A318-A32 ... pdated.zip

Very important, you have to edit each aircraft.cfg file to change the following setting :

in the [Flight_Tuning] section,

set "cruise_lift_scalar" setting to 1.00 (actual must be between 1.20 and 1.35 according aircraft).

Value becomes standard with these new AIR files.

Latest panel 1.15, A320, altitude button not responsive to mouse wheel. No response at all on the ground, in the air would jump from 2700-5400 so it would double itself. This is with no flight plan, flying selected.

Hi Fliptod,

I did a test and no problem with ALT knob in selected mode, without flight plan.

Maybe had you other circumstances....or did a specific action....

After many adjustments and tests, I present the final A321 panel beta 1.19 and flight model (I hope ! )

You can download here : http://freenavdbgroup.com/download/Pane ... 201.18.zip

- New AIR file, with more thrust to taxiing and more takeoff power ( from 90-92% N1 and more )
- New aircraft.cfg file with new Flaps's pitch and lift effectiveness, and some minor adjustments
- New panel : fix some latence when ALT to ALT CST* readings and with G/S* to G/S, fix some minor bugs in the PFD.
- Spoilers can be extand at 100% in managed descent now
- change conditions which toggle ECAM checklist from Standard to landing inhibit.

I will update Airport database tomorrow

I will prepare aircrafts new packs (include A318/A320/A321) with this new panels for last week

Sorry for the delay, but manu things to do !

Francois

Yes, must have been something residual. Worked fine this time. The first time I didn't fill in any performance data. This may have contributed.
