I've tried with Chrome (desktop and mobile phone) and Firefox (desktop) and the page doesn't load. Instead, it appears a DNS error.

I still keep getting the DNS address error (freenavdbgroup.com server not found) (ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED). Francois, could you please send me the panel 1.20.1 for all the A320 Family to my email? Thanks.

Edit: Please send nothing now; I have fixed the issue. I had to flush my DNS something and set Google's servers something else (I have no idea about what I did; I just followed some instructions on the Internet and, voilà, http://freenavdbgroup.com worked again).

As I am working on KFDW Dallas Fort-Worth airport procedure, I added a new feature to FD-FMC.

This airport has many SID procedures; more than 102. And current FD-FMC cannot manage more than 102 SID.

So, I improved FMC code : Now, it can access to a second SID index page; Look at this code test in video :
https://youtu.be/mm31kXHaicc

So, now FD-FMC can access to 202 SID max !

SID will be in 2 index files and 2 data files called :

SID_index.csv
SID_index2.csv

SID_data.csv
SID_data2.csv

No more memmory occupancy. one file only is loaded at the same time in memmory

Now I can create KDFW.

So, I will update some old big airport like KSFO, KLAX, KMSP, LFPG, because they haven't all their SID.

Francois

Edit :
Same feature added to STAR. Now, 2 STAR index page, with 130 STAR max.

I will update Freenav manual about CSV file creation for new features

I am thinking also to make a "light" version of FD-FMC, with only horizontal navigation feature;

This version could be added easily at any aircraft (because no aircraft behavior to control) , only to read freenavdbgroup data, to input SID, STAR and approach in a FSX flight plan, without any verticale navigation feature (no altitude/speed constraints, no holding pattern, no DME-ARC.....only flight plan waypoint list) .

User will have only to add the gauge in the panel folder of the aircraft of his choice.

What do you think about ?

Would be nice! I could manage waypoints (add them and delete them) on my FMC-Lite CLS MD-80!

Hello Francois
Manuel FreeNav DB Group v4.12 February 21, 2016
.....
The red cell is to be filled once you have listed all the SIDs of this airport. It needs to indicate the total number
of SIDs for the airport.
The table consists of 102 lines because the FMC can only handle a maximum of 102 SIDs
Now to what shall I set my program now ?

In my program the SID list is limited to 102 items.

Now you told us
So, now FD-FMC can access to 202 SID max !
Thsis means to me
SID_DATA.csv__can hold 102 SID Items.
SID_DATA2.csv_can hold 100 SID Items.
_________________________________
_____________________202 SID Items.

Am I correct!

Thanks Thomas

101 SID per file, because last line of SID_index files must have "NEXT PAGE" (SID_index.csv) or "PREVIOUS PAGE" (SID_index2.csv) as SID name.

Example with KDFW Dallas. First index all runways from 13 to 18
Image

second index with all runways from 31 to 36
Image

Runway cell of the last line must have 2 characters of your choice, otherwise FMC will jump the line (as a blank line)

I added data sheet :

I will update airport manual.....

It seems to work, but I haven't test yet the possibility to save modified flight plan during the flight....

If you want test it, I can put online the gauge this afternoon.

Hello,

You can download FD-FMC Lite version here :
http://freenavdbgroup.com/download/Pane ... ersion.zip

This version can be added to any FSX aircraft, but it has no vertical navigation features.

It allows to access to the Freenavdbgroup airport procedure database (SID, STAR and Approaches). But speed and altitude constraint, holding pattern, DME-ARC etc.... arre not managed by this version. But you get information in the FMC page.

As the original, you can save you flight with the edited flight plan.

To install FD-FMC Lite, you must have XMLTools.dll or LoggerX.dll/XMLVars.dll installed (as FD-FMC full verison).

- Copy "FD-FMC_Lite" folder in the panel folder of the aircraft of your choice
- edit the "Panel.cfg" file of your aircraft and change/add the following lines :

//--------------------------------------------------------
// select an entry in this section to get FD-FMC gauge with a keyboard shortcut
[Window Titles]
windowXX=FD-FMC

//--------------------------------------------------------
[Window00]
//Add the following line at the end of the gauge list with the next number ( "XX" )
gaugeXX=FD-FMC_lite!Save_FMS_Data,0,0,1,1

//--------------------------------------------------------
// Create this section with the Number ("XX") that you have set in the [Window Titles] section
[Window07]
size_mm=1024,768
pixel_size=1024,768
position=4
visible=0
BACKGROUND_COLOR=0,0,0
ident=10101
gauge00=FD-FMC_lite!FMS_Main,0,0,1024,768
sizeable=0

//--------------------------------------------------------
// Add these gauges at the end of this section (Virtual cockpit) by replacing XX number by the next number of your list
[VCockpit01]
gaugeXX=FD-FMC_lite!Save_FP,0,0,1,1
gaugeXX=FD-FMC_lite!FMS_init,0,0,1,1
gaugeXX=FD-FMC_lite!FMS_SID,0,0,1,1
gaugeXX=FD-FMC_lite!FMS_STAR,0,0,1,1
gaugeXX=FD-FMC_lite!Save_FMS_Data,0,0,1,1
gaugeXX=FD-FMC_lite!Load_FMS_Data,0,0,1,1
gaugeXX=FD-FMC_lite!FMS_APPR_data,0,0,1,1

Thank you for your feedback to know if it work with any aircraft.

I tested the FD-FMC Lite with the TDS737-700 and it worked good! I could use the SID and STAR of the database and could add and delete waypoints. There was no VNAV (of course), but for the climb, I set a fixed N1 and changed V/S to climb at a constant speed. Same for the descent: A/THR off (so I could retard throttles to idle) and changed V/S to descend at a fixed speed.

It has! I haven't had time to test it yet, but i will test on Ruth's A330 soon.
I think is a good idea, even if the lack of managed vertical navigation is a strong missing

I said that because I don't konw if a lite version for any aicraft is asked by many people, and for me, it is more work to support and update a new version.

This is the reason why I would like to know if many people want this version....

I think the Lite version could remain as it is for a while. It especially useful for pilots who fly online (like me) because sometimes you need to change your route because of traffic, weather changes, emergency situations, etc. So, with the FMC Lite we can do this easily. Also we can input custom waypoints for the RNAV approaches and departures. But I think the main focus should remain on the original FD-FMC.

I supported the A320 family panel development because of the features: vertical navigation, speed control and standardized track definitions (pattern). All this allows semi-automatical aircraft handling. Development time seems to be limited so I would prefer to invest either to improve the existing panel if necessary and/or to accurately adopt this panel to A319, A330 or A380.

Main version with vertical navigation keep the priority.
The goal of the Lite version is to get more users of the airport database.

Airport procedure files database updated :

- ENCN - Kristiansand - Norway - by Martien Van Rooten
- SAME - Mendoza - Argentina - By Georges
- SCEL - Santiago intl - Chile - By Georges

Following airports have been updated

- PAHO - Homer - USA Alaska - version for FSX stock airport By Wulf Bindewald
- PAHO - Homer - USA Alaska - Version for FTX airport scenery by Wulf Bindewald

And new AIRAC ( 05212016 ) include all waypoints for KDFW - Dallas Fort Worth, but this airport is not totally completed and requires a panel update to manage a larger number of SID/STAR and approaches.

KDFW and panel update (v1.30) will be available in few days.

http://freenavdbgroup.com/

Note :

Please note that from today, AIRAC has a second file called XFMC_05212016.BGL, which include a fake airport, located in antartica, which allow to our team to add terminal waypoints when we have no other solution.

You must copy this file with the main AIRAC fle in your FSX\Addon Scenery\Scenery folder.

Sorry for the delayed update of the panels. We test with Wulf a new descent gauge with a new air file, to improve descent profil. That requires many test.

The goal is to get a more smooth in THR IDLE mode and when aircraft comes in approach, to get a 3° gradient even in clean configuration.

We work.....

Hello and sorry for the delay, because I work hard on panel update...

New airports added today :

- EINN - Shannon - IRELAND by Philippe Bronier
- LEPP - Pamplona - SPAIN by Philippe Bronier
- LFLB - Chambery Aix les Bains - FRANCE by Philippe Bronier
- LIRP - Pisa San Giusto - ITALIA by Francesco Bragagnolo
- PAEN - Kenai - USA (Alaska) by Wulf Bindewald
- YPAD - Adelaide - AUSTRALIA by Francois Dore
- KDFW - Dallas Fort Worth - USA (Texas) by francois Dore

one update :

- BIKF - Keflavik - ICELAND by Francois Dore : some approach 'speed constraints fixed.

Now : 240 airports in the database. Thanks you everybody !! :)

So, please note that if you use KDFW with current FDFMC version (1.20.1) , you can use only the first page of the SID (Runway 17/18) and the first page of STAR (only RNAV STAR). I am working on the panel update (v1.30) that will allow to use KDFW full. Coming soon ....Sorry for the convenience

So, welcome to Francesco Bragagnolo, for his first airport !

Hello,

I uploaded a new Panel for A320 CFM only, beta 1.43 :
http://freenavdbgroup.com/Temp/Panel_A3 ... ta1.43.zip

Please note that if you want test this beta, you have to remove the A320FD-FMC.cab file from your \FSX\Gauges\ folder (you can move it in the IAE panel folder).

- Delete the old "Panel.A320CFM" folder
- copy the "Panel.A320CFM" folder of the update pack in your aircraft directory
- copy and replace the AIR file joined in the pack (new engine drag data)
- use the aircraft.cfg file joined to the update pack with your FLTSIM.xx section.

Please, note that this beta use new gauge name, so it is mandatory to use the panel.cfg file of the update pack.
This beta includes a Descent monitoring gauge, that create a log file called "xx-xxDes_monitor.csv". This file record flight data during all the descent to detect bug. I f you want disable this gauge, add "//" at the beginning of the line "gauge37=A320FD-FMC!FMC_monitoring,0,0,1,1" of the [VCockpit01].

This panel include a totally new descent gauge, that offer a more realisitic and accurate descent, with a better control speed and pitch, but it may happens a bug, with a pitch freeze of the aircraft. Please, if you have this bug, report to me and send me the CSV file to analyse.

All news about this beta 1.43 :
------------------------------------
- New AIR file, with new engine drag at idle to get a more realistic descent profil. Now, aircraft can descent with a gradient of 3°, without accelerate in SPEED mode in clean configuration.
- New TOD formula, according the new descend gauge profil and the new AIR file, written by Wulf (thanks ;) ) ,
- New "Fuel Flow Gain" and setting about A/THR for a better response
- New descent gauge, with lighter code, more accurate and more realisitic (target speed +/- 5 kts ).
- New Take off gauge, with more realisitic acceleration phase to 250 kts (smoother) and progressive.
- Now, "MORE DRAG" message appears only when aircraft is below crossover altitude and if there is a speed difference higher than 18 kts with the target speed
- New monitoring gauge, which record descent data in a log file (xx-xxDES_Monitor.csv file). You can oppen it with Excel or text editor.
- to disable this gauge, add "//" at the beginning of the line "Gauge37......" in the [VCockpit01] section of the Panel.cfg file.
- Now, FD-FMC can manage 202 SID, 130 STAR and 16 approaches per IAF. SID and STAR can be on 2 pages (2 files).
- Like LOC or VOR, approaches, the LOC frequency of LDA approach is now masked in the appoach name list.
- Cancel the red "N" rouge in the STAR index page when ther is an empty line
- Now, descent callout is not played again when you load a saved file
- Mouse area selection in the SID and STAR index page improved.
- Fix some minors bugs.

Thank you for your report if you have a bug (attitude/pitch freeze with a wrong speed during descent).

You can use KDFW airport with this beta.

Note that future LIMC Milan Malpensa will require this panel.

Airport update databse tomorrow in the morning (europe time)

Here a hotfix with the Autopilot gauge fixed : http://freenavdbgroup.com/Temp/A3xx_autopilot.xml

Copy this new file in the "A320_CFM" folder.

Hi thanks! Not such pitch bug until now. I like how it descent. I also found restrictions in flap deploiments if the speed is over limit, it's good as i was going to ask you to introduce it. Could you please tell me where the pitch bug monitor file is placed?

However to my taste, engines are now too much responsive. They take less than 3-4 sec from idle to full. On the web I found engines should take between 5-8 seconds. I guess an average between now and the previous engines behaviours might be better. I also found that if I suddently put throttles to 0% from 100%, engines will shut down (i guess fuel flow goes underlimit shortly in this circumstance)

Please go into your simulation root folder where you should find a xx-xx-DES_Monitor.csv excel file. The flight data monitor records during descent each 6 sec the following data:
MODE,"ALT","Target SPD","Current SPD","Sinkrate","Z-Acceleration","Pitch","Airport distance (NM)","End of STAR(NM)","Arrival Altitude","D phase"
The monitoring stops automatically by flap setting 3. Monitoring deactivation is explained in Francois´mail above.

If you want to optimise this go into the aircraft.cfg file, section [TurbineEngineData] and modify the "fuel_flow_gain=" factor. Current optimized value: 0.02, original value: 0.00247. Try 0.005 or higher. Please be aware that any change influences the engine reactive time during arrival and approach too.
Please let us know your favorite value.

Engine response must be improved again; As said wulf, we must try some new value for Fuel_flow_gain; There is also a setting in the autopilot section of the aircraft.cfg about Autothrottle :

max_throttle_rate=

Value is the percent of the throttle range per second. Example : 0.20 means that throttles moves of 20% of the total throttle range per second.

Sorry for the delay, new airports are online :

- LEAL – Alicante – Spain by Martien Van Rooten
- LFKB – Bastia Poretta – France (Corse) by Francois Dore
- LIMC – Milano Malpensa – Italia by Francois Dore
- PAFA – Fairbanks – USA (Alaska) by Wulf Bindewald

http://freenavdbgroup.com/

Please, note that LIMC Milano Malpensa requires panel beta 1.43, for SID, because SID are on 2 pages.

Now, 244 airports in the database ! :) Thanks to all people who help me !

It remains a bug in beta 1.43 : If you pull the speed knob during a descent, Selected speed is not active (FMC keep managed speed to target).

Hi Wulf i guess 0.005 is close to what i would expect moving throttle levers manually. I tried it and it seems good.
My little suggestion would be about focusing on how quickly A/THR moves throttle levers. I found a video about a-floor engage and full thrust 100%reaching, on an A320 real sim: it was around 12 sec. On Dorè's A320 this time is more than 15-20 seconds due to a slower levers motion. This might enlight part of the problem
Thanks

Ps thanks for LIMC!

Beautiful screenshot !

Prosdocimo, It seems that I have a bug with LIMC on my Sim; Runway 35R ILS seems to not worked properly; Frequency is ok, but when I engage ILS, aircraft turn back !!! Another closed airport use the same frequency ..... ?????

It seems that is a FSX bug because I haven't addon scenery for LIMC. Can you check on your PC ?
