Prosdocimo, I don't see other reason that data corrupted by a previous flight or by previous flight plan. Panel version has no importance.
I checked your .CSV file and it is ok, because this is not a panel bug. I repeat : no change from panel 1.57 to 1.58 about destination altitude.

To avoid this issue (in case a second flight), install the Reset gauge and all problem will disappear.

Destination altitude is always false if you load a new flight plan for a second flight without change aircraft, except if you use the reset gauge

Look the video that I made this moorning : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7LsNzGR ... e=youtu.be

I load my aircraft with a flight plan KBWI to KBOS. KBOS has an real altitude of 0 ft.

So, when I load a new flight plan without quit the aircraft (KLAS to KDEN), altitude of KDEN stay at 0 ft (should be 5431 ft) !

This is only because I haven't quit and reload the aircraft, so panel variable are not reset.

See the end of the video, I use the reset gauge in the 2D cockpit and FSX reload the panel and reset the data and KDEN altitude is now correct.

This problem has always existed from the begining and it will exist forever, because this is the FSX memory management.

Are you really sure, that you have installed at first the files from panel 1.57 and then 1.58? The update 1.58 is not commulative to 1.55!
A simple check e.g. for A320_CFM: Go into your panel.A320CFM folder and check the date from A320_CFM.CAB file, which should be from 14.03.2017.
I had the problem .57 and .58.

I just redownloaded .57 and then .58, installed it into the a318. powered up the aircraft, loaded a flight plan and the elevation was 0.
I have the new A318_CFM.CAB in the panel folder of the a318 and the A318FD-FMC.CAB in the gauges folder, both overwrote the old ones.

I then replaced them with the old one, destination elevation is of course zero because theres no flight plan, then it changes to 11308 which is very close to the 11311 which is on the map below.

François, the problem was introduced in .57 but .58 did not fix it. Even loading the flight plane before left the plane about 50 feet out of alignment so there was no 50,40..... and no autoland.

I also, loaded up the sim, loaded the plane, hit the reset button and the plane reset and the destination elevation was still zero, could it be different on different sims? Im on p3d.

I post now the A330-300 beta version.

http://freenavdbgroup.com/download/Pack ... ta1.58.zip

Be careful :

This is a first beta, with many things that need to be improved. Many difficulties with the aircraft pitch stability. When it arrives at cruise altitude, it can go up and down : in this case, toggle the speed in selected mode and decrease of 0.3 or 0.4 mach until pitch stabiity is done.

I think that the problem comes of the gravity center that I am trying to improve.

- Climb and descent gauge must be improved
- optimal flight level is not ready : enter manually your FL
- AIR file must be imrpved about power thrust curves and flight dynamics

So, all problem will not solved in 2 days :) I think 3 or 4 monthes of work !

I join in the pack 2 VC :
- Classic A32x VC
- Tom Ruth VC

I have edited and modified the Tom Ruth VC for a better location, to activate the PLN knob potision for the ND.
Tom Ruth VC has some issue :
- Barometric knob has no working Mouse area : no solution, problem is inside the MDL file, so I placed mouse area on the barometric display to swith QNH.
- There is another code error in the VC MDL file : The Flight director switch activate the ALTITUDE mode of the autopilot. So I added code to avoid problem when take off, but think to never touch the FD button in flight otherwise the Autopilot mode will change.
No solution for the moment...

3 Textures :
Emirates (Rolls Royce)
Virgin (Rolls Royce)
Nothwest (Pratt & Witney)

the 2 RR versions are with the Tom Ruth VC
the PW version is with the A32x VC

I added in the Tom Ruth VC the reset gauge, on the little screen of the VC.

About the Tom Ruth VC, I can use the "FMC" screen on the pedestal and the small screen just above to display information, and programming the keyboard with functions; it is a good new; These 2 areas are available for gauges.

I'm agree Flyer.

I did this test now.
I created a plan and then launched A321 1.58: elevetion was 0. After on the same runway i changed to A320 v1.55 and the arrival elevation was magically ok (1100ft). So how do you interpret this?

Please note, A320 is v1.55 and NOT 1.57

I repeated your stepped approach: launch FSX -- create a flightplan A to B -- launch A321 w. panel 1.58 -- elevation B was correct! -- now I only changed the flightplan to another destination airport C -- elevation C was wrong -- reloaded a) the same aircraft in the FSX aircraft menue or b) now with "R" solution -- altitude C was correct again. Good. This procedure was demonstrated in Francois´ vid.
Could you please confirm, that this sequence as described above works for you in 1.58 too.

The sim pilot should normally know the destination before sim-launch. Then there is no altitude issue anyway. Now there is included an easy method ("R") to cure a second loaded flightplan afterwards.

Here is the problem!! To me is always 0 ft choosing v1.58.
If i choose v1.55 is like you.

The linked problem to this.. is autoland function is not working as Flyer said. Because sim waits for the 10 ft call that never cames....

The problem is at the beginning. I don't matter reload a second plan...

I boot my pc, I run Fsx for the first time. At the welcome screen i load the plan first and then i choose the aircraft.
If i choose v1.58 (or 1.57) i get 0 ft. If i choose 1.55 everything is ok.

Or... if i am already on the runway with v1.58 (so 0 ft) and there I change the aircraft to v1.55 i get the elevation correct.

But if I am on the runway with v1.55 (correct elevation) and there i change to v1.58 i have again the correct elevation because fsx remembers the previous v1.55 aircraft loaded

I hope my issue is clear now!

It is clear, but nothing explain that.

Nothing has changed in the panel about this code. it is the same since the first version.

Are you sure that panel is correctly installed ? no doubled file ? check if you have the A32xFD-FMC.cab file in the FSX gauge folder, you must don't have the same file in the Panel folder. ONly one version of a gauge is allowed.

Have you the bug with any airport or only with one airport ?

Have you test the reset gauge ?

Prosdicimo and FLyer, try to install the A330 beta and tell me if you have the same issue.

I did a error in the A330 beta :

I forgot the 2 VC classic files for Northwest version, .

So, you have to copy the following files from "model.GE" folder to "model.PW" folder :
- Airbus_A330-300_Int_Mod.mdl
- model.cfg

No aircraft sound, because sound files take many size; so copy sound files of aircraft of your choice in the aircraft "Sound" folder.

I had no VC in all 3 a330s, I was waiting for someone else to report it in case I did something wrong.

There were no installation instructions, did we just have to put it in the airplanes folder?

You have just to copy the complete folder (and subfolders) "TR_A330-300-FD-FMC" in your \SimObjects\Airplanes\" folder.

About VC, may be the Eyeview in the aircraft.cfg is false. Try to move your location with dedicatd keys "keyboard arrow" I think).

Yes, the eye view was in the nose cone. I prefer the A32x cockpit.

The behaviour is exactly like the A32x, the elevation stays at zero if the flight plan is loaded after the plane. If the flight plan is loaded before the plane, the elevation will be that of the destination airport. I think that rules out any kind of wrong installation or wrong cab files.

Flyer, this is normal  . if you load your flight plan after the aircraft, FMC cannot get this information and others....This method has never worked , cannot work and will cannot work !

I repeat that FD-FMC get many flight plan data when aircraft is loaded. After, FMC cannot get information.

If you load your flight plan after your aircraft, it is mandatory to reload panel with the reset gauge or with the FSX command called RELOAD_USER_AIRCRAFT (only panel will be reloaded).

Procedure 1 : the best
1 - you create a flight plan
2 - you load the aircraft

if you want load aircraft in first and load flight plan after, or load a second flight plan, it is mandatory to reset the aircraft panel with the dedicated gauge

Procedure 2 :
1 - you load your aircraft or you have completed a flight
2 - you load a flight plan
3 - YOu must use the reset gauge to reload panel or change for another aircraft and reload your aircraft (panel will be reset also)

I am clear ?

Yes, procedure 1 is not possible for me. I need ATC to give me the take off runway, SID and other things.

Procedure 2 results in the destination altitude being 0.

.55 had no problems at all in this regard, (the info updated as the FP was loaded, despite what you say, it worked!) all it needed was a reload of the aircraft or a reset from the previous flight at the beginning. I'd start the APU, contact ATC, they'd tell me the departure details at which point the FP would be loaded, Id then complete the FMC setup and departed.

I will stay on .55, I think you will run into a lot of problems if you release .58 as it is with many people being unable to do flights as entering or loading the FP after starting the APU and contacting ATC for clearance is the standard thing to do.

In procedure 2, many data may missed : very risked. Exemple, you cannot save your flight, because flight plan name file is built by the init gauge. FMC data file cannot be created, so impossible to save and reload your current flight.

Many information are lost by the FMC even with 1.55. You will have many bugs.

Only a reset of the panel can solve the issue if you load flight plan after the aircraft.

for all panel version. nothing change

if procedure 2, use reset gauge: one click and no problem

I don't understand why you don't want to do this click....requires 2 seconds.....

just one click....... ;)

one click.....

A330-300 1.58: Just discovered a strange problem: After installation all 3 aircraft are displayed in the FSX menu as expected and one of them can be selected and started. If I terminate the sim and then relaunch the sim again, no A330 aircraft is displayed anymore in the FSX aircraft menu. They simply do not exist.
Then I re-installed the whole A330 aircraft again and the same strange behaviour was repeated again: The first time the A330 are selectable, after sim relaunch not. Unfortunately I did not find the culprit.
Anybody else discovered this anomaly?

I reset the plane in .55 because the FMC takes the destination info after the plane is reset, you can start the plane and the FMC is updated when the flight plan is added. That does not happen in .58.

In .58, you have to have the flight plan loaded before the plane, resetting the plane will delete that info so everyone with the problem will have a destination altitude of zero which will not change, it will break it for everyone because it does not add the destination altitude like it did in .55.

That is the whole problem. Resetting gives you an altitude of 0, not resetting gives you an altitude of the last FP. Neither works because because whatever you do, it takes the old value and not that of the new FP.

- Wulf, I could load all 3 A330s fine.

no flyer. Reset function reset only L:Vars and G:Vars and allow the FMC to do again its initialiszation procedure to get information of the current flight plan in memmory and all become ok.

Forget panel 1.55 : Even with this panel, if you load a flight plan after the aircraft, even if your altitude is correct, you have many data lost and missed, you cannot save your flight, and you will have many bugs...

You have no choice to reset the panel. Flyer, believe me, I know what I program

Automatic reset gauge will be ready in few minutes.

ok. A beta panel 1.58.1 is ready only for A320 (CFM & IAE) : http://freenavdbgroup.com/download/Pane ... 1.58.1.zip

This new panel include the new feature :
Each time you load a new flight plan, panel is reload and reset automatically.

So, now, you can load aircraft, and after load a flight plan without any problem or bug.

I think that with this new feature, it is possible to do a flight and after landing, you have just to refuelling and load a new flight plan without quit the flight or the sim and you will can begin a new flight from your arrival airport.
This feature must be tested, becasue I am too tired tonight.

If all is ok, I will update definitively all panels next weekend.

To install this panel :
Copy and replace the A320FD-FMC.CAB file located in the "Gauges" folder in your FSX\Gauges folder.

Copy and replace folder Panel.A320CFM in your A320 CFM aircraft folder
Copy and replace folder Panel.320IAE in your A320 IAE aircraft folder

Check that you haven't the A320FD-FMC.CAB file in your panel.a320xxx folder. this file must be only in the FSX's Gauges folder.

A320 panel 1.58.1: The auto aircraft reload works after flightplan change. The reloaded aircraft starts "cold and dark" again with the seat position, which is defined in the aircraft.cfg (eye point). I prefer this solution vs the "R" switch.

Good news, that seemed to work. It keeps the FP in memory on a reset whereas before a reload/reset didn't and reset it to zero. The destination matched exactly where before it was always a few feet off in .55 and of course didn't work for me at all in .57-.58

I haven't flown it yet, I will try that later on.

Another little request if possible, there is no way to have the pitot off in an airbus, the switch is either auto or on. Is it possible for you to make it permanently on? Because if it ices over, there's no way to get the speed display back even after switching it on most of the time.

Edit, tried a flight, it looks like the destination altitude is solved, but a couple of things, still no vref without a star and the plane has trouble descending, it only goes to -1100 feet and the speed bleeds off. I have to manually set it to -3000, then re-engage managed descent. The 2nd flight I did was fine though.
The call outs match perfectly, as does the two altitudes on the arrival page.

A330-300 TR, panel v1.58: Herewith a standard descent diagram, which is needed to define later on the right TOD and distance and to check aircraft performance and propable anomalies during the descent phase.
All single values are saved in the FSX/FD_FMC/_Blackbox folder, if you activate before the monitoring in the panel.cfg: //gauge41=A330-300FD-FMC!FMC_monitoring,0,0,1,1 (delete "//")

The speed deviation of -12 K at target altitude 2500 Ft comes from the sluggish engine behavior in SPEED modus, but this is a known effect.

Hello,

I prepared the final pack for panel update for the whole A32x family v1.59. This is a test pack before put online on AVSIM/Flightsim libraries.

http://freenavdbgroup.com/Temp/FD-FMC_1 ... family.zip

this panel update requires aircraft pack 1.55 installed.

It comes with an updater software. You can install panels manually but I would like that someone can test the paenlupdater software.
To know instantly if panels have been updated, files time property is the panel version : time = 01:59

So, I summurize v1.59 new feature according last aircraft pack v1.55 :
- In rare case, unexpected MFD blinking TOD readings appeared in the bottom left of the MFD. Bug fixed
- Improved ECAM checklist. (all aircrafts ok)
- Save game file fixed about wrong engine version record.
- Save game file include panel version information
- at takeoff, a wrong speed appears on PFD during few seconds, when aircraft switch from SRS speed to initial climb speed or SID speed constraint : fixed
- Some minor ND reading issue fixed
- Fix a bug about optimal flight level reading after take off
- Now, you can enter "No STAR Target altitude" value before take off.
- TOD was not updated when user changed "No STAR target altitude" value : bug fixed.
- TOD v2.2 (arrival speed information used for a more accurate TOD) : A318 - A319 - A320 - A321 ok
- TOD error when a STAR was deleted and reloaded : fixed
- Now, in lower ECAM status, TOD is always displayed with decimal
- In FMC page, TOD decimal is displayed now only if it remain 20Nm to TOD
- SID speed or altitude constraint linked to waypoint was not cancelled if aircraft was in SRS mode (noise abatement procedure) when passing waypoint constraint. Bug fixed.
- Fix wrong warning message about green dot speed during climb
- Now, FD-FMC accept terminal waypoints with ICAO airport with 3 characters (eg:"W29" ) in SID, STAR and Approaches files
- Automatic reset gauge in case of flight plan change

Thanks for feedback.

Note : Panel 1.59 is required for use KIAD (Washington Dulles) airport (3 characters ICAO code for some terminal waypoints )

I tried the updater but just get a "starting error" message, although that might possibly be because I don't have the 319, 320, 321 CFM models installed.

Hello Francois,

Tested on two Virus scanner : Zonealarm and Kaspersky

can someone PanelUpdate.exe drag and drop it to

https://virusdesk.kaspersky.com/?utm_so ... 1491230190

Image

To check if this behavior is again only on my system.

Thank you, Thomas

No Virus.

As I already said, this is because I include inside this EXE 4 Microsoft DLL otherwise program can run only on french XP Windows version (this manipulation can be detected like a virus, but it is not a virus :) ) , because I write my software in VB6 language, and by default, VB6 compiler cannot produce a real stand alone EXE (I hate Microsoft) . So this is the only solution to get a real EXE.

Don't worry :) 8-)

I promise you

Antivirus software are paranoaic. They see viruses where there are none, and they don't see where they are

This is the only solution that I have to run under Windows 7 and higher.

Edit :

If you want, I can put online the EXE produced by the VB6 compiler and the 4 Dlls files that must be placed in Windows\System folder.

Francois,

I use INNO Setup for 20 years now.
It is very easy to manage has many tools. No need for VB6 !!

Inno Setup

Together with Inno-Script-Studio
you have full controll over all win versions and background downloads etc.etc.

Just Try

I agree this solution about panel updater, but aircraft installer needs to check DLL.XML file if XMLTools.dll is already used, and if not, my setup program edit the file, create and backup file.

I like to program software and I like freedom provided.

the only problem is that I am too old to learn a new language, so I must continue with VB6 8-)

And antiviruses software are the worst software that I know. I never saw an antivirus software that work fine

Note :
The last update of LFPG Paris Charles de Gaulle has some issues : All runways 08/09 approaches from BANOX IAF have an overpriced waypoint.

I will upload a fix tomorrow.

Nobody has installed this new panel ?

I would like some feedback to know if all is ok and if I can upload on AVSIM.....

thanks

No probs discovered after manual installation and A319 and A320 conventional flights with SID and STAR & STAR changes during cruise.

I will do several flights for each plane over the next 5 days. If there's any bugs, I should be able to find them!

Edit - 3 flights in the A318
- First flight, the 107nm descent at FL390 had me a bit worried at the start and it wasn't enough to get me down in time. I needed several minutes of speedbrake to just about make it, even then I had to intercept the G/S from above and use manual manoeuvring to get there.

Both the climb and descent gave perfect speed.

- Second flight, I had to level off on a climb at FL140, when I pressed the Alt knob to climb again, it climbed at 1000fpm and tried to speed up to 400knots, there seems to be a problem where if you have to interrupt the climb or descent, the AP only ever uses 1000fpm after that which results on an overspeed on a climb or a stall on a descent. Its not a new problem though.

- Third flight, Everything went fine although the TOD was strange, 160nm when the landing altitude was 11308 feet, the TOD should have been shorter than flight 1 where the landing altitude was 1600 feet but the TOD was only 107nmi.

Things that could be improved, clicking the optimal FL sends the value to the box, have a vref for non star flights and the kg/lbs switch to be permanent.
Plus points, it slowed to the FL100 250knts much better although it could have been that I was light.

I saw no game breaking bugs and think its better than the last version right now.

Hi Francois,
Updated my 319 to 1.59 using the autoinstaller - very quick and smooth. All's well as far as I can see - haven't been flying yet. Good job as always. 8-)

(I´m using FSX SP1 SP2)
Ive just looked at it and the same thing and it happens in p3d. Very strange, you have to copy everything across again. I could never get the new cockpit to work, even after copying over those two files, the overhead panels were being displayed on the main screens.

It would be nice to get a new beta with just the new cockpit.

The prob is the aircraft.cfg, which has been written with the notepad (MS language prob). There is a workaround, so I hope Francois will improve this in the next A330 beta release.

Its saved as UTF while all my others are saved as ANSI, I think its just a matter of re saving it in the correct format.

Theres also a bug with the a32x, do a step climb and the autothrottles switches off with 1000 feet to go, the speed goes to under 200 knots when the autothrottle kicks in toga to get it back up to speed.

Hi to me A320 1.59 seems ok. I made LIRF-LIMC without any problems to report. The only issue that I still have is about 0 ft elevation in A321 1.59! I don't know what's going on in this aircraft

I have tested the a318,319,320 and the elevation has been ok, once it was about 50 feet off so I hat to abort the autoland. Did you test the CFM or IAE A321? I will test the IAE version later on today.

I think I have found why the altitudes are sometimes slightly off, the FMC uses the default altitude which is going to have problems using orbx airports or freemesh which changes that altitude. Im flying to an orbx airport which is off by 60 feet which ill mean no autoland.

Another little improvement you could make, I like how the weights go red if you go over the MRW or MTOW, how about the gross weight being red in flight until it comes under the MLW?

François, what part of the xml files codes for "arrival elevation"? I would like try to replace that file with the one from A320.. in order to see if i can have arrival elevation working

FMC uses the default airport altitude.
One improvement option would be to manually fill the individual airport altitude (acc. to the used individual airport scenery) in an additional framed box in the CRUISE or DESCENT window. The FSX/P3D default value should be automatically set by default and optionally to be modifiable.
+ for STAR and noSTAR user
- window menu change with the risk of unexpected new mistakes.
+- only one alt value per airport possible, but most of sim airports have no simulated rwy slopes anyway.

You cannot mix files between FMC version otherwise many bugs expected.

I will check the A321 code during the week about destination elevation.

FMC use destination airport altitude provided by the FSX GPS. FSX GPS get this information from current AFCAD in function in the SIM. So, even if it is an ORBX airport, destination altitude info must be right. You can check destination airprot altitude in the DESTINATION page title

If you get issue with autoland, the reason is probably that you haven't check your QNH.

If a flight plan exist, FMC autoland altitude works with barometric altimeter. So if QNH is not correctly set, autoland will not work fine.

If no flight plan, autoland works with radio altimeter.

The info on the map is correct though, so it must get the actual info from the bgl file thats in use,it would be perfect if that was the value that could be used for the elevation.

As for the A321 not working, I tested the IAE version and there was no 0 altitude problems, maybe its just the CFM?

If I use an addon airport, the two values in the arrival page are slightly different, one is on the map and the other is in big pink letters stating elevation.

They often differ by 20-100 feet with addon airports so they must be getting different values from somewhere. It just seems the callouts and autoland are using the wrong one so are slightly out with addon airports, my QNH is always set correct so its definitely not that.

Just made an exemplary comparison on two airports with A320_IAE, where I know, that the airport altitude has been changed due to the new addon scenery vs. FSX default (here ORBX FTX NCA in KMRY, ORBX FTX SCA in KBUR). The pink elevation corresponds to the new addon scenery´s airport altitude which is shown in the sim map too.

QNH value: Are you using "real weather" or FSX default defined weather options? I´m asking because the real weather values vary
sometimes in shortest distance and the given airport value in the sim map differs from the value at the runway´s end.

I'm using A321 CFM. However it's strange as both A320 and A321 take arrival elevation from the same Fsx source. So what works for A320 it should work for A321 as well. And if I load A321, then I load A320 on the runway, and after I load back A321 (keeping the same plan).. it works.

I don't see a reason why you get two different information altitude (map and title).

The 2 informations comes from the FSX GPS with the same function.

Only explanation that I see : you have a confligt between 2 AFCAD.

CFM and IAE use common files for these function.

As I said Wulf, if you use FSX real weather or third party weather engine like Active Sky, QNH can change quickly and often. This is the reason why I added in the APPROACH page a button to activate an permanent auto-set of the QNH during approach.

I don't use radar altitude with autoland because if user has some third party mesh, you can get some elevation of the airport according surrounding terrain and the sudden relief change will do the aircraft crash.
