vasFMC question

Post by Santiago Narayana »

Hi fellas,

Recently, I started to use vasFMC after a couple of years and, quickly I noticed that some functions are gone.

In the FMC, performance page, climb phase, I cannot find this functions:

Instead, I see this:

Where are they now? I just want to set N1 after I takeoff in 88%, and that's it. How I do it now?

I know this is PA page, but I hope you can help me.

Hello,

I am not a VASFMC specialist, but I think that VASFMC has no vertical navigation feature; So even if you enter a N1 value, there will be a fake value, because AP will stay in Speed mode in background.

Thanks for your quick response, well, I understand.

In any case, I still want to reduce the thrust after takeoff when I put CL MODE in the throttle.

For example:

TOGA: 94% N1, CL mode 85% N1.

Because actually happens this way:

TOGA: 94% N1, then I put CL mode but only drop until 93-92% N1 and the aircraft climb as a rocket!

Maybe I am missing something.
