Hi There,

I am having major issues with the A321 FS9.

I can't understand the installation of the textures properly. Do you unzip the livery texture pack into the aircraft then hit the livery installer?? I have got the textures to 2 aircraft installed now but both aircraft have major issues.
The aircraft immediately crash when selected or when you do get them flying the are jiggering about all over the place and are impossible to control. I've landed one A321 so far then to top it off the reversers did not deploy but the sound played??

I am sure its me as PA's quality of work is so high. Could really do with some assistance as Ive been working on this now for 2 hours!

HELP PLEASE.

That is quite odd. Although that second issue doesnt appear to be a livery problem. To install the liveries:

1.) Download the selected paint

2.) Cut + paste the texture folder from the ZIP folder into the correct A321 folder (-211 for CFM or -231 for IAE). For example, for the Air Canada paint, the texture folder is called "texture.acn". That goes into the "Project Airbus A321-211" folder since it's a CFM model.

3.) There is a file that comes with the repaint called "livery.xxx". I forget the extention of it however. Its used for the livery installer. I could not get the installer to work so I did everything the normal way (with other PA models). What you can do is change that extention to ".cfg" which will allow you to copy the livery entry for your aircraft.cfg file. The entry does not include a [fltsim.x] line, so you must add one according to its level in the .cfg. So if its your first entry, it will be [fltsim.0] and so on. By the sounds of it, the paint entries need to be at the bottom of the "aircraft.cfg", but I could be wrong.

4.) Your final step is to copy the textures from the "texture" folder, into your livery folder (example: texture.acn). This includes night/wheel/misc. textures etc. You must add these to each livery folder or else you will see missing textures.

As for your other problem, it may have just been a faulty download. Try redownloading the base pack and see what results you get. If that doesnt work than I don't know what other solutions to give you. Hopefully one of the PA admins can help you with that.

Hope that helped you a bit.

cheers,

Bill
