A321 Installer and Tail Light Problems
Hi, first a congratulations is in order, the A321 is visually stunning and preforms like a winner. Now everything is great but i have two problems.
First is the installer, i extract the zip to my sim objects file, find the PA installer in either of the two A321 folders, run it but it keeps flashing error. When i try run as admin it just flashes on and off. I am on Windows 7 64bit PRO.
Second is the in game textures. Only one side of the rudders logo lights illuminated (the left side only).

Re: A321 Installer and Tail Light Problems
That's very strange I think there was another report of the installer flashing or reporting an error. I have windows 7 32bit here and it works fine, so I'm not quite sure what the problem could be. Does it give you a specific error message that could help find the issue? Also what's the directory path your FSX is installed to?

Re: A321 Installer and Tail Light Problems
Like i said i cannot make out anything other than error because it flashes so much. My FSX directory is under the C: Program files (x86) as normal. Might this be a case of 32bit v 64bit?

Re: A321 Installer and Tail Light Problems
Ive never heard of 64 vs 32 bit causing an issue for a simple batch file but I guess I could be wrong. I'm suspecting more along the lines of windows 7 protecting the program files folder against modifications. Try copying the project airbus a321-211 aircraft folder somewhere else (the desktop for example) and running the script then.
Re: A321 Installer and Tail Light Problems
I have the same issue with the Tail logo light.....only 1 side illuminates. It goes on....then flickers off immediately. Maybe PA should not have used 'no name' bulbs :p
Sry forgot to say : fsx 32bit xp

For the FSX issue, this thread might help: http://www.pairbus.com/discussion/viewt ... f=6&t=1125
Re: A321 Installer and Tail Light Problems
Thx...Derek Mayer..Well i cant get the aircraft to be shown in fsx aircraft selection page..I DONT get any error though...I think it might be a problem with acceleration..or DX10...
Re: A321 Installer and Tail Light Problems
All effects that came with package were placed in the effects folder....I think this is my 20th PA A/C so I wouldnt forget the effects
I did notice I had to run that installer a few times for it to do anything

Re: A321 Installer and Tail Light Problems
Just tried the installer on the desktop and it did indeed work. So what will i have to do know to allow it to work in the program files?

Re: A321 Installer and Tail Light Problems
Have you tried right-clicking the batch file and selecting "run as administrator"? That should work in theory.

Re: A321 Installer and Tail Light Problems
Yeah but it just flashes on then off, nothing changed.
Re: A321 Installer and Tail Light Problems
You need to change the permissions to let the user write to the directory
Re: A321 Installer and Tail Light Problems
Right, so I've finally taken the time to take a look... Looks like the last 4 entries are the culprits; just strip them off:MUSTANG wrote:I have the same issue with the Tail logo light.....only 1 side illuminates. In detail instructions—esg wrote:You need to change the permissions to let the user write to the directory
1- Right-click on your Aircraft/Airplanes folder and select 'Properties'
2- Switch to the 'Security' tab
3- Click 'Edit'
4- Select your usergroup (most likely 'Users')
5- Tick the 'Allow' checkbox for 'Full control' below
Also, make sure the folder is not 'Read-only'
Re: A321 Installer and Tail Light Problems
But this worked for me..Not sure if it would work for you guys...Switch all lights on from the Upper pannel..and then on & off the Pannel light from the switch...This worked.
