FSX A321 Installer

Post by Ultrasweatproof » 22 Apr 2011, 22:47

Hey guys,

So everything was in the right folders and I went to run the installer but its "freaks out" for lack of better words and says access denied to the .cfg. I noticed that the installer is a system32 and I'm using windows 64 bit. Is there a way I can manually install the livery into FSX.

Thank you.

That should not be any problem. I use 64-bit W7 Pro myself without problem. When you got the rar/zip file, extract EVERYTHING, even the read me to your PA321 map, and then try the installer, and you will se it should work! (I did that mistake myself, I didnt copy everything over, so my installer didnt want to install)

A lot of people have been having troubles with the installer, including myself. I installed it manually like I have with all other PA models. You have more of an idea where everything is going when you do it manually.

Do you use windows 7? If so it's probably because your FSX is installed in the program files directory. See esg's post in this thread: http://www.pairbus.com/discussion/viewt ... 137#p11574

Can someone just post the info you need to add to the aircraft.cfg file? I have tried everything on this forum but the installer wont put the required information into my aircraft.cfg even though it tells me that it has.

I think there was no need for that complicated installer to be added for this model. (i know most of you will now tell me but its not complicated, but that's you, not me..)

Kindest Regards
James

Well, for advanced users the installer comes in very handy.

You'll find the lines you need to add to the Aircraft.cfg inside _Livery.<3 letter ICAO airline code>; this is a regular text file (it just lacks the extension)
