Nose down during Landing!!!! A380

Post by MauriceKroll » 10 May 2011, 15:36

Hello!

I´ve merged the Project Airbus A380 with the VC of the Wilco A346. I have just one Problem: When the aircraft follow the glideslope during a landing, the nose are down all the time! The VAPP is about 150 - 168.... could it be that this is too fast? But i can´t fly slower than the VLS.

How can i fix this problem? Is there something to do with the aircraft.cfg? Maby the flap-lift scalars? How can i fly slower than the VLS?

Please help me ;-)....!

PS: Sorry for my bad english^^!!! ;)

damaging-speed = 280
blowout-speed = 300
span-outboard = 0.5
extending-time = 25
lift_scalar = 0.00
drag_scalar = 0.00
pitch_scalar = 1.00
flaps-position.0 = 0
flaps-position.1 = 0
flaps-position.2 = 15
flaps-position.3 = 20
flaps-position.4 = 26
flaps-position.5 = 35

[flaps.1] //Trailing edge flaps, lift
type = 1
system_type = 1
damaging-speed = 280
blowout-speed = 300

lift_scalar = 1.00
drag_scalar = 0.00
pitch_scalar = 0.00
flaps-position.0 = 0
flaps-position.1 = 0
flaps-position.2 = 8
flaps-position.3 = 17
flaps-position.4 = 26
flaps-position.5 = 32

[flaps.2] //Trailing edge flaps, drag

lift_scalar = 0.00
drag_scalar = 1.00
pitch_scalar = 0.00
flaps-position.0 = 0
flaps-position.1 = 0
flaps-position.2 = 15
flaps-position.3 = 20
flaps-position.4 = 26

Approach/landing speeds at full flaps vary from 125kts (at empty weight) to 145kts (at MLW).
In other words, yes, you are approaching too fast. From your post I guess the Wilco panel is preventing you from approaching at slower speeds? If so that's a panel issue I can't help you with, though you might try approaching at a lesser flap setting if nothing else works.

First: Thanks for this Answer!!!

Yes, if the VLS is 157kts, i can´t choose a slower speed. I´ve read that this is a normal preventing system during a flight with an airbus!!!

Have you tried what esg wrote? That should reduce your VLS.

Thank you everyone. I reduced the ZFW at the Init page and everything is ok now...!!!
