a380 VC gauges

Post by isda » 17 Aug 2011, 02:06

Hi, first of all I would like to thank and congrats all the PA team in making this beautiful PA a380 has its own vc at last.
After downloaded and installed the liveries into the fs9 root, i found nothing but marvelous presentation of the real A380 model running in my fS9 machine. But the only thing that wondering me is the engine/ warning display did not shown up in the middle of the panel displays board of the vc. It only shown the reflection texture of the jumpseat and back panel of the cockpit. I would really appreciate if somebody can share and help me in correcting this problem. Thanks in advance :D

Did you follow the installation instructions and run the batch script?

Basically it works perfect if you have in your aircraft.cfg title=XXXXX PAgauges. I had to add the PAgauges (or the other one, VASgauges I think) string (case sensitive!!) manually, and now it works.

But I have another problem: on this specific gauge, on the lower left corner, there is an error in my case: if the VC is loaded, everything is fine, but as soon as there is any movement, a rectangular black overlay appears through which the letters shine through flickering. This is only a little part of the lower left corner of the engine gauge which shows this problem. If I pause the sim and change views, it is back to normal. As soon as I resume, the little black box reappears with the flickering text from the gauge below. Is this a known problem or did I mess up with merging my Overland 2D panel with the PA VC?

The black box flickering is a known bug, we might fix it we might not. Gary would need to edit his EWD/checklist gauge since that's the gauge causing the issue.
