Can't use A380 VC VASFMC

Just like to say, love the VC. I've flown the PA VC quite a lot and it really does give most freeware aircraft a run for their money.

I then tried to use the VASFMC gauge VC. I downloaded the lastest gauge version from vas-project.org and installed it (having first uninstalled the standalone version, just in case) into my default FS9 directory.

However, when I tried to load the VAS VC, I got the following error:

Flight Simulator was unable to load some aircraft or software. You can continue using Flight Simulator but this aircraft or software will be disabled.

File: GAUGES\vasfmcgau.GAU

I have checked and the file does exist. I have also tried reinstalling both the A380 and VASFMC with several computer restarts but to no avail.

I am running FS9.1 on Windows 7 x64. Can anyone point me in the right direction to fix this?

I've had that too from time to time; I don't know what's causing it, but it's intermittent.

Youll have better luck asking over at VAS.

I have finally found a solution to my problem.

It appeared that I had not copied across the AIRAC to Flight Simulator 9\vasfmc\navdata!

Total moron!

For others who have this problem, do as I did and if that doesn't solve it, have a look at this: http://forum.vas-project.org/viewtopic.php?id=1133. There is a problem with VASFMC and Windows 7 x64 update KB2454826.

Hi guys! I'm Edoardo and I'm Italian...I've got the same problem with the vas VC...but i've got Windows Vista, not windows 7! I've got installed the Airac wich i've got download from the vasfmc website...I have put te 3 folder into Flight Simulator 9\vasfmc\navdata\ but is not served...Help me please!!

I know this a very old thread, but anybody got a solution for this ?
I also installed the latest basepack and liveries + the latest vasfmc gauge version and the gauge update, but everytime i select the plane it says unable to load vasfmcgau

Check that you have enter Vasfmcgauges to the title of the aircraft,also check the spelling of the vasfmc gauge in the fs9 gauges folder. I changed the spellng then changed it back that solved my problem! I just can't get the gauges to show up in cockpit! I get black screens!

I think I found the culprit with the black gauges and vasfmc not loading. I narrowed "my" issue down to the updated gauge not being compaitable with the VC for the A380. I went back and used the original gauge that came with the installer & my problem was solved. I hope this solves your problem. I have been chasing down this problem for 3 days! Good Luck
