My first post so thanks for having me on board, and thanks too for PA.
I'm a bit confused. There are many different versions of the A320 - 232, 211, 210, 214 - maybe more.
In the downloads section there are new base packs for the A320-232, -214, -111, and -V2.1. In the V2.1 folder there are engine types: iae_200, cfm_200 and cfm_100.
If I wish to load an Air Canada A320, the livery tells me the type - in this case the 214 base pack. But how do I know if its iae_200 or cfm_200?
Air Canada also flies, or used to fly, the 210 version for which there was an 'old' PA base pack and livery. I assume this plane is not updatable as a 210 type at present.
Just as a matter of interest, which airlines use the A320-111, and similar types? (model.cfm_100).
Thanks again!
John

Re: A320 base packs and models
Hi John
I cannot answer for all the different models out there - I have the same issues. I wish someone at PA would make it more clear which models were current and in use. I have downloaded the various FSX and FSX patch files and there are differences even between these.
As for the A320-111, British Airways and Air France both used these types. This was the first incarnation of the A320 family and was easily identified by its lack of wingtip fences. I believe all the BA ones have now been withdrawn and possibly broken up as are the Air France models.
