A318FD Overhead Panel is not accessible

Hi folks,
I have just downloaded the Airbus 318 and installed it according to the manual. As decribed, it starts with the cold and dark cockpit. Whenever I try to start the engines with ctrl-e, one engine starts for a short moment and dies the next moment. Also the overhead panel is not accessible, pushing the button indicated IN the cockpit window (second to the left).
Pan Pan Pan, any help is greatly appreciated !!
