Probably Old Question with Wingflex and .fx lights

Post by blumentopf28 » 21 Sep 2010, 20:30

Hello guys!

First of all I want to say thank you for all the beautiful planes you´ve managed to create! Without exception they´re truly awesome!
But I´ve got a question that bothers me for quite some time.

The aircraft.cfg of the A318 and A319 contains the standard FS9 lights as well as the modified PA lights which are linked via .fx files. When you deliver the planes they´re usually blocked. And if you unblock them they look amazing on the ground. But as these .fx linked lights are fixed they hover as soon the beauiful animated wingflex put´s in! :-) You might see where this is going.
I know that there is probably no way in fixing this problem by myself. But is it maybe possible to switch off the wingflex? Or do anything else?
A friend of mine using the FSX noticed that there is a .mdl file for the A318/A319 that fixes that problem (don´t ask me how, who and where this file comes from). But problem with that is, it doesn´t put the nice heat flickering (right vocabulary? ;-)) behind the engine and works only for FSX.

Cheers,

Hello,

don´t want to be rude. Just want to ask again whether there is sombody out there to help me with my little problem. I noticed that POSKY is having the same kind of probmlem.
Sollution: They put the lights above the wings so they´re on the wings in the air. Not the kind of sollution I´m looking for. ;-)

Cheers and sorry for my inpatience,

There might be some way to do it but we've not looked into it
