Question about painting A320
Dear PA-Team,
I am painting a few A320s right now and I wonder if it is better to wait with publishing until the version 2.1 is out. I've seen Cyprus and New Zealand paints on the V2.1 model in the preview area. So far I have 4 A320s in pole position. One paint is quiet challenging and colorful - with lots of vectorgrafics: I am worried that they dont match later. My question: is there a rework at the fuselage too? even a few pixel matter for me. If yes - I will wat a little bit, If not I can publish the textures and everybody just use them with the version 2.1.
Greetings Thommy

No, the fuselage mapping is the exact same. However, you might still want to wait to make sure they're altogether compatible.

hey tom,
how long do you usually for all the vectorgraphics? do you use photos to trace them? I'm trying out my first colourful repaint, and it's quite challenging to trace it exactly the same.

Re: Question about painting A320
I paint on my Macintosh with Illustrator - or better with my old Freehand. For the Panda i needed around 1-2 hours. i work since 15 years with graphic programs (i am graphic designer) and have a little routine.
I have a few "spanish" surprises comming next.
Using the vectorizised graphics in photoshop as smartobjects - is than a matter of a few hours.
Regards Thommy

Re: Question about painting A320
15 years... nice. I graduated from a Graphic design program 3 years ago. But competitivity was too high for me to get a job. But I don't want to lose all what i've learned cause I love using Adobe creative suite. I have only 5 years of PS and Illus. lol
The thing is I hate tracing on pixelized photos... cause I have to zoom in. I hate that lol

Re: Question about painting A320
I love tracing. Usually i make layouts in Indesign or QuarkxPress - so tracing is like chill out for me. Switch your brain out and set point for point with the beziértool Now I wait for the release of the A320 V2.1. I have a few A320s in the garage in pole position. But before I will publish one or two additional A321s and one reworked A319.
Re: Question about painting A320
nice! I wish I had a graphic design job even part-time. I would like to be tracing as nice as you man! xD but I'm only better in photoshop, i'm so so in illustrator coz I dont use it often. I'm waiting for the A320 V2.1 too, because I want to do my first colourful illustration repaint on an excellent model
Re: Question about painting A320
Me too waiting for it,though I am not sure whether will be a FSX version, but I already have my new A320 projects as well as some renew plans on hold.

This is finished... but the real challenge are the dots at the aft... My god I thought I just do a few dots - but they are more "eggs" at the belly... )
