Airbus HD (FSX ONLY!)

Here's a small preview on some specials I'm currently working on
I'm planing to update the whole PAirbus A32x Family to HD, just klick the link below, to see what I've done so far

It's the original project airbus A318 paintkit updated to a resolution of 2048x2048 pixles (4096x4096 is crazy, enormous files, about 140mb per texture!)

Hope you like it, still needs to be finished.

yes i can see that but I wanted to know how ppl create that, how do you create a higher res of the paintkit in the first place?

hey cheese, I know that HD textures works only in FSX, but isnt there a modification you have to do in fs for the HD textures to appear? Or does it just appear after making them 2048 x 2048?

uhm can you wait about 2-3 weeks? I'm working on my laptop and there's no fsx installed, so I can't look it up. As soon as I got my computer back again I'll tell you.

One moment...in the fs9.cfg is also "TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD=1024". What does it mean?

I hope there are no mistakes in my post... :?

EDIT: When I correct it to "TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD=2048"...can i use the HD-TExtures after this step? :?

I don't think so, because I've tried already. the textures doesn't appear in the aircraft preview window.

Work on the left wing is nearly finished, so many rivets to be redone ...

HD can ONLY be done for FSX, the max texture size of FS9 is 1024x1024, HD starts at 2048x2048
so nope, there won't ba a FS9 version I'm sorry.
Need to stop the project anyway, school has started again, so I won't have much time. All my new textures will be released as soon as I got time again, this will probably be around christmas

Some small issues on the A318 still need to be changed/fixed. Had a great view on the A319 flying down to Malta. Wing markings need to be updated, the metalparts need to get more shiny and the fuselage needs to get a bit more glossy. Made a lot of pictures from the exterior. Should be finished in 2 weeks. The A319 HD will be released end of october, maybe a bit earlier. Then it's the A321's turn.
