New Painter
Hello guys I'm new to painting. The only things I have done is just experimenting around with stuff. What I want to know from you guys is what are some good tips to get a good looking aircraft?
Re: New Painter
Although there are plenty of tutorials on how to get the result you want, I would recommend taking a Photoshop class to get familiar with its complexities. You can learn from tutorials, but you have to have patience and a slight bit of luck to get the results you want.

However if you want good looking textures, watch some YouTube videos to get you started. Then see what you can pick up while watching, and go from there. Photoshop is 'Godly' when it comes to repaints, as I'm sure you already know.

I know a good tutorial: http://members.multimania.co.uk/mcwdainow/
The "Highlights and shading" tutorial is very good. And the "Weathering" chapter is very good.
