Korean Air HL8213

Post by DerKranich » 02 Jul 2010, 00:56

As promised, here is my interpretation of the Korean Air A380. Their first one currently known as MSN035 (F-WWAT) is being assembled in Toulouse as we speak, and should be delivered to Korean Air in Q3-2011 with the registration HL8213. The inaugural route should be -according to Korean Air - Seoul Incheon to LAX.

I have been watching this plane as closely as I have been with PA's very own A380. There is still a good amount of work to do with the paint with it being maybe 90% hand-painted and the windows I changed a bit. I was getting goosebumps as I was adding them in of how much it brought out the livery.

The real KE A380 hasn't been painted yet, but I digress. I would like to thank my good Korean friend on airliners.net known as hoons90 who helped point out some errors (there are still a few he pointed out) and encouraged me to paint this.

enjoy

It's been a little while since I added any updates on my interpretation of a Korean Air A380 (on that note, what is with all the postings of them going on? Besides my own I think I saw at least three or so). I plugged up some of the windows and added some effects to help bring out the livery a bit more. Clearly there is still some work to be had (notably the the shading on the underbelly and nose gear doors) but it is currently being worked on at the moment. Aside from that I think it's ready to be seen again despite my Korean friend and fellow enthusiast is looking it over to help it be more accurate.

I sent her off to avsim. She should be up soon. In the meantime, I have some more photos to help wet your appetites (and sorry, no kimchi included)

She is now up on Avsim and already seeming to get a good number of downloads at the moment. It's not even on the main page yet and already I have seen around 105+ downloads.

Thank you Project Airbus for this Amazing 380. I look forward to enhancing this paint even more once the Virtual cockpit variant is released, and also once we can paint over the cabin textures.

Be sure to expect an update from me once the Real MSN035 is painted, which should be around March I think. :)

I'm baaaaaaack!

I'm sorry for bringing up an old post, but this simply helps make the boards a little neater for moderators.

However, my beloved A380 of MSN 035 is currently in Finki awaiting outfitting and painting. As promised, I am updating my paint to help it look more accurate.

For now here's a little sample of the tail for you all to enjoy.

I know it's small, but more is coming. I will show the complete thing when the real thing is painted which should be around March I'm predicting. Keep your eyes peeled, my friends.

In the meantime, I have been painting a Skymark A380, Malaysian A380, and a surprise for you all. The first two I'll show you all in about a week, the latter for around Christmas.

Cheers
