So, as promised guys....
Here is one of the pages being remade so that they portray as close as possible the ND of the 380. Hope that you'll enjoyyyyyy this pic a lot for you have waited a lot for an update it was without any hitch of bad criticism.
Thanks a lot for the support. I will post any updates here. When I update the other pages, you'll have them here.
Regards and again, Thanks

Re: A380 Virtual cockpit previews
Just wondering - are we close to a release of the VC, or still a fair way off yet? I haven't been on this forum long, so I don't know how long its been in development for.

Re: A380 Virtual cockpit previews
First of all,
a big THANK-YOU to all, who are working on this project.
Is there a chance, to see a screenshot of the whole VC or to see a list of all features and systems the VC has?

Re: A380 Virtual cockpit previews
Great job guys. I can't believe it's freeware! Thanks for your time and effort, it's much appreciated!
Re: A380 Virtual cockpit previews
Ooh, perfect. There is only one bad thing in PA A380. There is no that damn loud A380 flaps sound. xD Nah, joke. This is maybe best FREEWARE VC in world!

Re: A380 Virtual cockpit previews
Hey guys (and girls). Just a quick query regarding release of the VC when it happens. Could it be possible for the PA to create some kind of e-mail list of all people who want to be notified of when the VC is released to get an e-mail informing of this?
Re: A380 Virtual cockpit previews
Visiting the forum frequently is the best possible solution. If you're looking forward to it, that's what you do.

Re: A380 Virtual cockpit previews
I'd like to thank Gary, esg and Alex for their work on the A380 VC, and to anyone else who has contributed to this remarkable freeware addon. Your efforts are undoubtedly appreciated. I'm going to love having a proper A380 VC for once
Re: A380 Virtual cockpit previews
This might be a stupid question and probably already answered but not sure, will the vc model have a propper working fmc? and maybe a nice autoland feature if airbus has autoland, i am also not about that:)

Re: A380 Virtual cockpit previews
Highly doubt it has an FMC and if it does then I won't be using it ... simple GPS navigation is enough for mebrad9825 wrote:This might be a stupid question and probably already answered but not sure, will the vc model have a propper working fmc? and maybe a nice autoland feature if airbus has autoland, i am also not about that:)
Re: A380 Virtual cockpit previews
We might be able to merge the fmc via pannel.cfg but i dont this would come out with a fmc..
Re: A380 Virtual cockpit previews
No it won't have an fmc...I'm sorry
Re: A380 Virtual cockpit previews
thats ok, now i no that i will be able to use VasFMC, but i still cant wait though for the vc

Re: A380 Virtual cockpit previews
Well..As far as i know...we gotta wait But it would be worth waiting
Re: A380 Virtual cockpit previews
The VC's FMC will be a simple one Ken Mitchell made for his A340 panel, that displays ETA, Distance to destination e.t.c. There are a few submodes, but along these lines, all made by Ken.Srilanka wrote:We might be able to merge the fmc via pannel.cfg but i dont this would come out with a fmc..
The FMC keyboard will be fully mappable though, and via the panel.cfg you'll be able to assign an FMC gauge on top for use as a keyboard, and then map the screen separately somewhere else. A gauge maker with knowledge will be able to make those 2 XML gauges interconnect easily (we've done that on a few occasions with the 380's MFDs). If somebody want's to make a full FMC for the 380, the provisions are there, all he needs is time ( ).

Hello fellow Simmers,
as we are all waiting for the VC cockpit, this might help us to overcome the waiting time:

PS: any new info concerning availability?
Cheers, Scout59

Re: A380 Virtual cockpit previews
For anyone who's interested in reading up a little on the A380 systems while we wait for the VC, check out this book (this may also help the devs). I've read it and it's a great insight into a typical flight from the front seat of a superjumbo Please excuse me if this has already been posted lol

I don't usually ask this, but is it possible to post some screenshots to show us what the VC currently looks like, please? Would be nice to see some progress while we patiently wait.

LOOKS GREAT GUYS!!!!
Well done to everyone involved.
Is there any plans for operational APU. I would love to see that, really adds some realistic aspects to the features.

Re: A380 Virtual cockpit previews
Great work guys
I realy love your A380 and I'm waiting for this VC )
Your work is awesome, I highly appreciate it !
In my Oppinion, the PA A380 is the best freeware model for FSX out there.
if you need some more people in your team for the VC, I could help you with the textures

Expect nothing till then.

Re: A380 Virtual cockpit previews
It is better that you need a long time and it is good.
It would be bad if it would be ready in 2 weeks and it is bad.
Sorry for my bad English.

Re: A380 Virtual cockpit previews
Hi guys,
Here is another update....been a long time, I know but I had some time and the result is a much better equipped MFD. Also, I think it is safe now to say, I made an XML gauge that will make the aircraft behave as if it had FBW. Now please note, being myself limited in knowledge as well as using XML as programming, the gauge has some limitations, but I've been using it for over 7 months in both FS9 and FSX and it worked wonderfully. <---- THIS does not mean that FSX version is guaranteed.
Well anyway, this was an early pic, hopefully from next week more will follow.
Till then, regards
GaryG

Would love to see more of the VC as a whole - not just individual gauges.
