FSX A320 "bouncing" at altitude?
When I get above FL250, the aircraft is pitching up and down (bouncing). I normally fly in fair weather, but it also does this on clear skies. When I switch to the external view, I can see the elevators cycling up and down. I tested cruise speeds from M0.72-0.82.
Re: FSX A320 "bouncing" at altitude?
Do you running it at normal speed, or you use 2x / 4x / 8x / beyond sim speed?
Re: FSX A320 "bouncing" at altitude?
No, running it normal speed...
Re: FSX A320 "bouncing" at altitude?
Full of passengers, usually light on the fuel load, I like to take short hops, but will load it with 50-60% fuel. Even with the light fuel load, and "no" weather I still experience it...
Re: FSX A320 "bouncing" at altitude?
I may have solved it. In the aircraft.config file, I was comparing it to the default A321, and noticed there was no header for the Moments of inertia section, also, the max_gross_weight, and empty_weight numbers were bunched in this section. Using cut/copy and paste, I made it the way it was in the A321 file. It still seems to want to "bounce" some when it reaches altitude, or turning while climbing, but it stabilizes after about 30 seconds...
Re: FSX A320 "bouncing" at altitude?
Change on Aircraft.cfg
[flight_tuning]
pitch_stability=1.2 to 2.5
roll_stability=1.0 to 1.5
yaw_stability=1.0 to 1.5
Problem solved
Have fun

Thanks, I believe it to have been a panel issue, although I'm not sure. I have merged the Wilco Airbus Vol 1 Deluxe With all my PA models, and I am giggiling like a school girl now! :lol:
