Did you put the original contact points back before you tried?

What did you do to modify it? It doesnt do that when it comes 'straight from the box' so to speak. You must have modified something, or its the panel you are using.

I am experiencing exactly the same problem. Whenever I select the A321 the aircaft appears to be approximately 1/2 meter below ground (wheels sunk in the tarmac). It then bounces approximately 2 meters into the air then drops back to the ground whereby it crashes and the sim resets to repeat the whole scenario again. I have not amended any of the aircraft config file - this is the original. I have tried to load the aircraft with different weights (fuel and cargo etc) but that makes no difference. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried downloading and installing a new A321? :P

I have downloaded the officail PAirbus models and used the installer program - what difference would it make to install a new one?
