Re: The A320 V2.1
also , I'm sorry to drag this out further but the a320 family spoilers are noticablye curved, i believe it give the wing alot of character but then again i understand it can cause problems with with lag, here you can see what i mean.

Re: The A320 V2.1
the spoilers curve is due to the wing shape, but I doubt PA will do the curve as it's not an important thing.

Re: The A320 V2.1
Boeing 737 don't use winglets like that one. That's an A320.

Re: The A320 V2.1
a quick question to the A32X modelers, I don't know if that's possible right now. but I was wondering if you guys can make separate texture for the forehead of the airplanes. like how overland did theirs. Just a thought so it's easier on some repaints. :p
if you guys can't, then just too bad. ^^

Re: The A320 V2.1
Looking forward to it! keep up the good work guys!
Re: The A320 V2.1
Hi there,
First, and because it is my first message here, many Kudos on the great job. Your models are really amazing.
Since I have practicaly no knowledge of the working of models in FS, I don't know if what I am about to speak about is doable or not. I looked quickly in the forum and I have not seen it, but since you speak here of a new version of a model, I feel I came to the right place.
On your models, I noticed that the spoilers all operate together.
On A32S, the spoilers are numbered 1 through 5 from inner to outer. There are used as follow:
- speed brake (in flight): 2, 3 and 4
- ground spoiler: all of them
- roll control: 2 to 5.
I suppose there's more or less the same repartition (with more surfaces) on the A380. I'll get more information regarding the Big Bus next week, if you want
As I said, I don't know if it can easily be done in FS, but that would add a reality feeling to you models.
regards !
EDIT:
OK, now I feel like a fool.. I had that feeling on the A321, and I checked on ground... not in flight...
You almost got it right though: the number 5 spoiler is also used for roll.
I'll still look for the A380

Great project guys
One thing: Will you add the orange "thing" at the wing? If i recall corectly it's on the PA319 and PA321?

I believe it is used to hook a safety line on from the emergency exit windows.AF1809 wrote:Just for knowledge : what is it exactly?Jarlsberg wrote:Great project guys

It is used, I thought, for hoisting the wings in the factory or during maintenance.AF1809 wrote:Just for knowledge : what is it exactly?
That's creative and nicely thought of, Ben F. I like itBen F. wrote:I believe it is used to hook a safety line on from the emergency exit windows.

Re: The A320 V2.1
Yes, its for lifting the wings. Sometimes to lift the aircraft as well. That's its only purposesknepper wrote:It is used, I thought, for hoisting the wings in the factory or during maintenance.AF1809 wrote:Just for knowledge : what is it exactly?

Ha, just a guess as thats what they are used for on the CRJ-900sknepper wrote:That's creative and nicely thought of, Ben F. I like itBen F. wrote:I believe it is used to hook a safety line on from the emergency exit windows.
Re: The A320 V2.1
I think Ben is right; why would anyone ever want to hoist the A320 from the wing's midrib like that? It sounds like a terrible, terrible idea.

Re: The A320 V2.1
I'd have to agree. A while back I was talking to a maintenance guy and I think he said they used them to link their harnesses while working on the wings. The safety line thing sounds pretty plausible too.

Re: The A320 V2.1
Are you also have modeled the curves above or from the wingbox to the wings? I can't find it on the old model.

It would look much more realistic to the real A320.

Re: The A320 V2.1
People should learn to read entire topics before posting, they arent making the A320Neo, looks shit anyway.

"Looks shit anyway"? It's the same aircraft but with new engines and winglets. Not much different then the original aircraft.Matt Tank wrote:People should learn to read entire topics before posting, they arent making the A320Neo, looks shit anyway.

Also, PAirbus, how is this project coming along? For a month+ now all we have had is "soon". Not even another screenshot. Just wanted to know. No rush.
Re: The A320 V2.1
1 screenshot could be good to see while we wait ^.^'
Re: The A320 V2.1
Come on guys quit asking for updates, screenshots, release dates, etc. When they have an update it will be posted, they have lives outside FS too.

We released the a380 VC this month. Even though we have more than one project in the works it doesnt mean we work on all of them at the same time.donaldd wrote:Also, PAirbus, how is this project coming along?
